"Four of us dined at The Currant Shed for our anniversary lunch. We stayed next door in Clements house on the same property and after lunch it was but a few paces through the gate to our very comfortable accommodation. The restaurant setting is in...a wonderful, quiet and very green right now location with wide lawns and vineyards for the view. We chose the feed me menu and it didn’t disappoint. Every dish was well thought out and beautifully presented. And delicious. They also added in house made little rolls and whipped butter, some superb canapés and a cucumber sorbet. Much of the herbs etc were grown on the property and added to the fresh delights in most of the dishes. The lamb in particular was amazingly tender and we opted to have the seafood chowder and it was beautiful. Not traditional but very delicious. And to top it all off, I’d have to say the staff were wonderful. Professional warm and knowledgeable. That’s half the equation to a successful dining experience for me, so a big thank you from us to them. I’d highly recommend both the lunch and the accommodation run by the same owners. Easy. Delightful."
