"My favourite meal on holiday so far! Stopped in here after an afternoon at Mossman Gorge. Had the squid with peanut sauce for a starter which I thought was delicious, but the husband found the sauce a little overpowering. I had the chilli prawn and pesto pasta (entrée size) which was filling and very tasty. Husband had the fish of the day, which was wild barramundi with a orange, vanilla and saffron sauce. The fish was perfectly grilled, chips were crispy but he thought sauce was a little bland. Dessert was the absolute highlight, with so many options it was difficult to choose. We settled on the fondue and the Mojo Bomb which was like an Bombe Alaska but with white chocolate and raspberry icecream and passionfruit sauce. It was sooo good!!! The selection with the fondue was also delicious, with my favourite being the Turkish delight. All of that for less than $100 far better food and value that a lot of establishments around wish we lived closer and I'd be a regular!"

"Secluded location down a windy countryroad, aamazing setting by the water on a spectacular deck. Entrees of crocodile cheesecake and carpaccio were amazing. Mains were well above average. Pricey wine list but food in such a setting was hard to beat as a dining experience as a whole."

"Went to Silky Oaks Lodge for lunch on Thursday, 28 May 2015. There were only three main courses on offer the fourth a pasta dish they had run out of! The choices Pumpkin Salad, Barramundi Croquettes or steak, instead we had a Caesar salad which we were told although an entree was large well that was not the case and it was very ordinary. The restaurant is in a beautiful setting (5 stars) and the wine list is good however let down by very ordinary food and a very limited menu for lunch. When we had dined here previously we had fantastic meals so we were disappointed as this was going to be a very special meal whilst in Queensland on holiday from Victoria and advised the staff accordingly."
