"Ambience: The old town of Ottweiler with its winding streets and lazy squares is always worth a visit. The restaurant “Nassauer” is located in a historic building in the middle of the old town. The original restaurant reminiscent of a small Irish pub on the inside, offers cosy seating areas, e.g. on an old Grandma sofa. Beautiful atmospheric oil paintings hang on the walls, a selection of modern art of the 20. century, which give the room a special flair. You feel comfortable, a pub to “saw”. At pleasant temperatures like today I took place on the beautiful terrace in the Quakenbrunnen and enjoyed the view of the surrounding old town ensemble and the “Zibbelkapp”. The former mountain peace from the 15th Century is the landmark of the former residence town of the Counts Nassau-Saarbrücken. Parking is possible in the immediate vicinity of the restaurant at Weylplatz. Food: The kitchen offers a really appealing, well-sorted selection of animal foods such as sausage salad with roast potatoes; Schnitzel or Grillschinken, also various. Flame cake and from the Mediterranean bistro kitchen pasta or colorful salad with parma ham. At quite moderate prices there are steaks, Argentine Hip Steak with supplements at €14, Charolais-Rumpsteak with supplements for €15. My look over the map was probably somewhat unconcentrated, because I ordered a supposed cut liquor salad and, as it was also praised on the map, got an egg cut liqueur salad, in which it was saved with cut liquor, but not with eggs. My mistake and if I'm not just a big fan of this salad variation, I have to praise the salad from Nassauer. With wonderful pink golden brown roasted potato slices, it was a real pleasure, probably more with abundant yogurt and no or little mayonnaise delicate spicy, the egg cut liqueur – salad was a summer fresh and not too heavy food. Calculated at a cheap rate of 6,50 € and also lush, for the little afternoon hunger at 30 degrees already (almost) too much. I also had a GMQ mineral water for € 1.90 and an espresso for € 1.80. You can't do it. Service: As with my previous visits friendly, flott and attentive. However, according to the recipe for egg salad, I had to be satisfied with the information that the kitchen does not reveal the recipe. Conclusion: good food in a pleasant ambience with the old town"

"The pizzeria “Roma” is located on Goethestraße 14 in the Ottweiler Altstadt. The 70s church-tree seating places on tile floor recall a village restaurant instead of a Ristorante, only the beautiful wall drawings showing the Colosseum and the Temple of Vesta on the Forum Romanum, and as Rome fan, Mediterranean flair emanate. Everything looks very neat and neat, the walls are brightly painted, the tables are covered with fresh tablecloths (double). You feel comfortable. 3* Parking is not a problem in Ottweiler. In the immediate vicinity of the “Roma” you can park for free in the town hall or from 6 pm at the Weylplatz. Service: We entered the restaurant at 18:00 and could choose a nice table in the back of the “Roma”. We were very kindly supervised by the "head" of the house, the counter-service and service at the table and by a young female service. The service during our stay was friendly, inconspicuously attentive, fleeting and competent, the waiting times for drinks and food pleasant. The restaurant was full of hours; when we asked about the invoice at 8 p.m., each table was occupied and it took a little longer until we were aware of a sequence of the company and therefore absolutely apologised. 4* Food: I found the menu optimally dimensioned. In addition to pizza, pasta, salads, pork and meat dishes, it does not offer too large and not too small a special menu with daily recommendations. From the special menu we have fried for an inlaid sharp peperoni in olive oil and garlic on 3,50 € pizza with parmas ham, rocket and parmiggiano on 9,50 € and from the "normal" menu Rumpsteak nature from the grill with herbal butter, as desired supplement in olive oil with garlic spaghetti and salad on 14,00 € Beverages: 1x San Pellegrino 0,75l to 4,50 € This was a simple but brilliant, pale man mouse and as a "Starter" hardly to throw. The pizza was well covered with fresh rocket and thin aromatic parma ham on spicy tomato soil and with parmesan splinters. My wife found her very great, I love the dough a tick of airy and chessier, but tastefully there is nothing too mule. The side salad to my steak was deliciously fresh and tasted with a spicy cream dressing. The Rumpsteak was approx. 250gr heavy, of best quality, good hanging, gorgeous slim, skillfully roasted on the point medium and really butterfly. The spagetti al dente, thrown in little olive oil with a subtle garlic note, were the ideal supplement."

"The “Wein Keller” restaurant (not wine cellar) is called because the owner is called Keller. It is located in a monumental baroque building from the 18th century. Century. A comprehensive professional restoration of the property was completed in 2006. With expertise and a lot of attention to detail, old ceiling beams and door-doors have been reinstalled, broken stone masonry exposed and laid old mosaic tiles in the ground. In today’s guestrooms there were the barn (now the counter area) and eaten in the former “Viehstall”; in the decoration with the included feeding troughs and the fastening rings for the cattle. Today's beer garden was once the cattle farm. The successful original restoration creates a rustic feel-good ambience and deserves 5 stars. Parking is not a problem in Ottweiler. In the immediate vicinity of the „Wein Keller“ you can park for free, for example in the parking lot Weylplatz or town hall. Service: I was very kindly greeted by the “head” of the house, the counter service and service at the table. Since the restaurant was only slightly frequented at noon, I had free table choice and chose a nice place on the window to the conservatory. The service was friendly, attentive and competent. I was able to convince myself in a conversation that I involved the operation. All questions about the history of the house, the foods or the wine map, were answered professionally and confidently. The waiting times for food and drinks were very pleasant. 4.6* rounded to 5*. Food: I found the menu optimally dimensioned. Not too large and not too small, it offers meat dishes of pork, beef and lamb as well as pasta and fish, salads and flame cakes as well as a small selection of tapas. I chose the Rumpsteak with herbal butter, salad and fresh baguette at €15.90. The steak was of very good quality, for my feeling but with approx. 5 to 6 cm thickness somewhat too lushly cut and therefore probably not fried as medium to the point as I love. But the taste was top; it was lean, tender and juicy and with the taste unmistakable by long hanging and ideal ripening. The self-made herbal butter has been great. However, the tasty side dish salad was slightly thick. The baguette came freshly baked and still warm on the table. On request from the service, Baguette was still handed over. Note: The wine cellar also has a well-sorted wine card with very moderately calculated German, French and Spanish wines, the bottle between €11.90 and €25.90 for a CILLERO TINTO awarded with Wein Plus. Unfortunately, I still had to drive and therefore enjoyed myself with a water, a soft beer and an espresso. Conclusion: eating well in ancient venerable walls. I'll be back with the driver, of course!"

"We visited the Ottweiler Altstadtfest and no wish for the obligatory Bratwurst we made a short walk on the terrace in front of the Da Lupo square. Ambience: The pizzeria “Da Lupo” is located in the picturesque old town in the building of the castle theatre of Ottweiler. The restaurant welcomes its guests in a simple but cozy ambience. You feel comfortable. In beautiful weather you will see the view of the surrounding old town ensemble and enjoy the ride on the castle square. Service: There were two young waiters in use who, despite the operation, drive through the “old city” very friendly, attentive and “extreme” fleeting for the physical welfare of their guests: The map offers a clear selection of Italian dishes from antipasti, salads and pasta to pizza and meat dishes, as well as petty-bourgeois dishes such as roasted potatoes. Our table neighbours just served their pizza. They looked good and as I was insured, they also tasted good; only they were so plentiful with cheese (Mozzarella? covered that one could hardly see the cover. It's not exactly our taste. So we chose the spaghetti Aglio Olio twice for 8.00 €. When it turned out to be a good choice. The lush part, served on a large oval plate, tasted excellent. Richly finely sliced garlic and Peperoncini sweated in olive oil, the perfectly al dente spaghetti garden in spicy knobi oil and then fresh herbs lifted. Age Olio is a simple preparation for spaghetti where you can measure pasta experts. For this court there are smooth 4 stars. Conclusion: Class pasta, fleeting service. We'll be back."

"We ordered something for the first time today at this restaurant and the food was very delicious. We had the butter Chicken (for those who do not want it so sharp), Chicken Masala, Spring Rolls, Papadum (is with cumin) and a Chickenburger. Despite the 15€ price for one of the Chicken Masala/Butter Chicken dishes, the portion is very large (a dish is almost enough for two people), there was a supplement salad and tastefully it was really good. We can only recommend it!"
