"We have just enjoyed the most amazing dinner at Covo Dei Saracen Restaurant. Set in the beautiful surroundings of Positano beach. My wife and I were greeted and served by very attentive, knowledgeable and professional staff, with a team lead by Paulo, making our experience all the more special! The service was excellent and the food matched, with beautiful suggestions from Paulo and his team, which meant every aspect was flawless! I must say, I haven't had a Tiramisu as nice as that before!! The whole meal was excellent!!! Your missing out if you don't book a table here!"

"Not sure about these other reviews to be honest. We came here times in our week in Positano as the food pizza were amazing. It is honestly the best Pizza we have had in Italy! Service was phenomenal, as was the wine. Highly...recommend!"

"Had a lovely meal at Il Capitano. All the staff were utterly charming there was a mix up over our booking (not the fault of the restaurant at all) but they quickly found us a table anyway. It has a beautiful quiet setting overlooking the bay and well below the road which can be obtrusive in many other Positano eateries. Restaurant specialises in fish although there are plenty of other options what we chose was delicious. Would highly recommend Il Capitano relaxed friendly our favourite restaurant of those we tried in Positano."

"Lovely restaurant in the heart of the amalfi coast. The food was absolutely delicious, can’t leave without trying their aubergine parmigiana and cannolis. The service was super kind and accommodating, made us feel at home. They have a wide local wine selection and a fantastic sweet wine from the region and plenty of local dishes to choose from. Fantastic dining experience, definitely recommended."

"We appreciated the free shuttle but the driver chatted with a lady in the car on the way up to the restaurant and completely ignored us. On arrival at the restaurant, the other couple and their dog were hastened along the pathway to the restaurant, leaving us behind. I cannot walk fast and we weren't sure where to go. On reaching the restaurant, we again felt ignored. It was a good 15 to 20 minutes before we were offered a drink and a further 15 minutes after that to get them. In the meantime, our travel companions had drinks and their first course. I am a dog person and have dogs but the attention given to this one was ridiculous. I had booked this restaurant on a recommendation and expected something special. The food was ok at best. I thought I'd experience a dining wow but absolutely not. The starter and main were very pretty but bland. The tiramisu dessert was tart. It tasted/seemed burnt. We then had another gallop back to the transfer vehicle, which made me very uncomfortable. The food, for me, was not at all special in taste although well presented. Can't argue with that. I think the experience was tarnished by the feeling we weren't trendy enough, too old. In fact, I felt really uncomfortable. We didn't get the amazing views as our hotel booked the table for 7 which was far too late to see the sunset. Not the restaurant's fault obviously but further upset the evening. Drinks were ridiculously over priced. We eat out at similar restaurants regularly but won't return here. Also, please ask your staff not to pet dogs at the table and then bring my food. When the bill is 175 euros for two I don't think that's unreasonable"
