"Cafe Bateel is a real treat on Tahlia Street as it is the most exclusive venue and has an appointment shop to die. Even if you don't like data, the displays are a leak for your eyes. Although the main meals are limited to vegans, their customer service is so excellent that they try to accommodate any change you want; So don't be shy, ask away! I went with some friends for the brunch of the other week and had the mezze platter: carrot and cumin hummus; beet root hummus; olives; fresh pita bread; Quinoa Tabbouleh; baba ganoush .. and instead of the 2 cheese options I asked for mushrooms and asparagus. Everything was cooked and seasoned for perfection. They initially took creamy mushrooms and were so apologetic that they gave me a vegan raspberry and chocolate cake on the house. I'm not a big fan of cake, but every mouth was a delicious attack on the senses! I was so impressed that I took my daughter the week after lunch. They had 4 vegan soup options; 3 salad options and, for main, mushroom Carbonara with crispy porcini mushrooms, peas, spinach and a creamy cashew sauce the Italians could not have made it better! They offered a bowl with a variety of fresh bread to begin, which went well with the very elegant bottles of balsamikum and olive oil. The Balsamico had added date syrup that was a new and sensational turn on the original. There were 2 vegan desserts available and my daughter went for the chocolate sprinkle cake that, she assured me, was the best she tasted! It is a little expensive, but you get what you pay and what you get is gourmet standard food and gold standard service."

"Very tasty food. I think they said the current chefs are Pakistani and Filipino but despite not being Italian they are producing some good food although I concur with other reviewers who said it’s a little salty. We’ve been visiting this restaurant every so often for many years and haven’t noticed a decline in quality. Prices are quite high particularly in comparison with the portions and lack of sides; for example I ordered the spinach stuffed chicken with herb sauce it comes with a small portion of vegetables but nothing substantial like a portion of pasta. Having said that, you are given a board with breads and tapenade to enjoy while waiting for your food to come. End price was 200sar for two people. There’s a choice of seating the larger tables towards the front of the restaurant and then there’s more intimate seating with lower lighting and sofas to the back of the restaurant although this section has become quite shabby over the years."

"Excellent customer service, food quality and menu choice is amazing. All this at a very reasonable price. You would be crazy not to visit this new restaurant. But get there early as it gets busy. 10 out of 10. Update: After less than a month of opening prices have increased by up to 25%, in some instances. This does alter the value proposition when benchmarked against other competitors in the area."

"We first tried it as a family, I would say that we were impressed by the taste of the pizza here. the crust was beautifully made and the beats were also fresh. pizza came a little oily to normal standards. I love the pizza bbq chikcken and the white pasta, staff very friendly and customer service oriented. a total of four star ratings from our family"
