"I stayed overnight in rochester, ny during a long trip and looked for a place close to my hotel with some good vegetarian options that was local and not a chain restaurant. I was surprised when the receptionist nitrogeny lips bbq recommended because it doesn't sound like a vegetarian friendly place at all, but he assured me that they even had vegan options. always trust the locals! this place was amazing. the decoration was very home. the personal was friendly and knowledgeable and understood what vegetarian looking for. I chose the fried green tomaten as starter and then the smoked bbq tofu as my entree. both were excellent. the tofu was a thick smoked steak that tasted as if he had been baked and then covered with a delicious BBQ sauce on a bed rice with boiled mushrooms and paprika. it came with maisbrot that had a crust of something sweet, maybe maple syrup. it also came with a side that I chose from an extensive list and I got the mac cheese. this court was excellent. I know that a BBQ joint seems like an unlikely choice for a vegetarian, but I would like to return to try the other options. there are two places for this restaurant and I would recommend if they don't mind eating at a place that also serves meat. updated by previous review on 2019-07-07"

"We love the atmosphere at this restaurant . the salad and the pizza were extremely good. however, the meatballs and pasta were mealy (the meatballs) and cold. I ordered the hot appetizer for my main meal eggplant/zucchini parm and it was very good but again cold. can't wait to heat it up and eat it for dinner this week! we still would go back due to the great ambiance but will be careful what we order or will make sure we say .....make sure it is hot."

"I couldn't let anyone answer, so I made an online order. was there at a certain time, but had to wait about 10 minutes to get my order. it was very disappointed when it seemed as if our eating was there for half an hour. I think there was only one man who serves the bar and does everything."
