"You're just about 5 stars. The Hotel Inselfriede on Spiekeroog is a cozy, beautiful hotel that leaves hardly any wishes. The staff is super friendly, the room service is excellent and thorough. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The ambience is absolutely beautiful, no matter where you stay at the hotel. In addition to the restaurant you can order your food at any time. Our room had a fantastic view of the village, pub and even a little on the sea. The room had nothing but a kettle and unfortunately a small selection of pillows that were unfortunately not really comfortable. On request we immediately brought more pillows. I might recommend here, however, if your own favorite pillow should still have room in your luggage, you should take this with you. The biggest problem was eating. We had half board. However, breakfast was excellent (especially if you can take it in the winter garden). Here I would like to have a little more choice after a few days, but in general there was absolutely nothing to do with breakfast, was very good. With the most important courses I could only rarely be friends. Just in a person like me who comes out of the pot and who is on the seeker for simple, petty-bourgeois food, it was hopelessly lost. A chicken soup or cattle breeding broth as an appetizer, delicious stews or a very simple, uncomplicated re- or hunter carving would have made me much joy. Unfortunately, I often had to fit in the food offered. Much worse is when the menu really doesn't show what you are served and need to research on Google, which means the complicated terms. There were tasty exceptions like the chicken Saltimbocca. The deer roast at the New Year's Eve was unfortunately hard and not correct, which was only the case with some guests I heard unfortunately. Generally, I can't say that the food didn't taste, but it didn't pick me up personally. A menu can also be a bit easier if I can leave it as feedback and is actually my only real criticism. The spa bath that you can use for free is a very nice idea. Unfortunately, however, the problem is that you need to go down some kind of basement stairs to reach the bathroom and this basement staircase was not really fun for me. While there is nothing to complain about the bathroom itself (except that the water in the hot tub was quite cool), the dressing room is really not nice. The room looks more like a laundry room, where unfortunately there are only two cabins and the days when I gave too small towels. I don't want to know how chaotic it is in the wardrobe. I hope my criticism is not too small because we really enjoyed our stay and would come back at any time. The food is of course also a lot of personal taste. Here I would be happy if you could make the menu a bit easier in the future, a bit more diverse. In addition, Hotel Inselfriede is a place that is very suitable for its name."
