"We came a few nights ago and enjoyed, so we came again. It took the restaurante over an hour and a quarter to bring the food. It took almost half an hour untill they took the order, although we called them again and again. after that they came to say that they dont have one of the dishes (which we ordered of). We complained a few times and all they said was that the kitchen was busy, although the restaurante was not food. When we said the kids are starving and asked to get whichever dish is ready, they insisted that they take out all the dishes together. Only after wr got upset, they agreed to bring out pizzas before the rest of the dishes. After waiting for so long, it doesnt matter how the food was. We were all upset and the kids were starved. Highly unrecommended."

"Location is lovely in the Black Forest. We sat outside and the surrounding flowers trees were very scenic. This restaurant is a short drive from Titisee, which is teeming with tourists, however the restaurant is well separated from this. The food was authentic and...delicious. The portions were huge and while we're great eaters, we couldn't get through everything. I had the sausage sauerkraut and... YUM! It also came with a giant serve of delicious, smooth, buttery mashed potato. My wife had the Rouladen. It was good too. It came with a giant serving of spaetzle and access to the salad bar. We're Australian and we had been hanging for some decent authentic local food and this was one of our best meals in a month Europe trip. I will say the only thing I can fault was that the service was a tiny bit frosty maybe the language barrier as I can't speak German? As we were in the Black Forest, we were hoping for some Black Forest Gateau, but we ordered probably minutes after close and the answer was a definite no, we're closed. I run a business in Australia, and while we have opening hours, these are somewhat flexible to cater for customers. We don't adhere to these hours rigidly. I would think asking for a slice of a cake isn't a big ask. Either way, we still really enjoyed our visit, the food and location were spot on. Highly recommend."

"Das Restaurant liegt abseits in Waldau, und ist nur mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Es ist eine tpische Gaststube mit viel Charme. Wir hatten leckere Steaks mit reichlich Pommes, zu einem günstigen Preis. Die Weinkarte ist etwas spärlich, dafür hat es gute Biere."

"Wir (ich, meine Verlobte und unsere 2 Hunde) waren hier, im oberen Wirtshaus bzw. Zum Hirschen, vom 16.12 bis 18.12 untergebracht. Das Zimmer war völlig ausreichend für uns zum Wandern und ist völlig ausreichend für Leute die nicht den ganzen Tag im Zimmer verbringen. Wir wollten viel wandern viel Luft und ein Haufen Natur. Wie auf den Bildern zu sehen ist, war alles sauber und ordentlich. Auch das Peis-Leistungsverhältnis ist mehr als gut. Hunde sind nach Absprache willkommen. Wir hatten gleich 2 dabei. 3€ Pro Nacht pro Hund und 30€ pro Nacht pro Person. Je nach Länge des Aufenthalts wird der Preis pro Nacht günstiger. Inklusive Frühstück. Das Frühstück wird in der Gaststube gereicht und ist auch für gute Esser wirklich reichhaltig. Kaffe und Ei wird frisch auf Wunsch zubereitet!Hier kocht der Chef noch selbst und das auf Sterne Niveau!Die Atmosphäre ist familiär und überaus freundlich!Vom Gasthaus aus kann man direkt wandern gehen und hat wie auf den Bildern zu sehen eine wundervolle Aussicht und die Berge vor der Haustüre! Der Ort Titisee-Neustadt mit verschiedenen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten ist 5 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt. Zum Titisee selbst benötigt man 10 Minuten. Auch zum Badeparadies Schwarzwald sind es nur 15 Minuten. Zum Feldberg benötigt man zwischen 30 und 45 Minuten. Man kann also in kürzester Zeit viele interessante Punkte erreichen.Wir werden auf jeden fall wiederkommen."
