"With out a doubt the best Bisteca I’ve ever had My wife had the Annabella pasta with chicken. Definitely coming back with friends Sit outside if the weather permits. The sauces on each were rich and flavourful. Staff are exceptionally friendly Do it, go there"

"My husband, son and I went to Kelsey's last night. We used to frequent it a lot a few years ago but as restaurants have opened closer to our home we haven't been in a couple of years. The first surprise was how quiet it was on a Saturday night. It used to always be full of people and not uncommon to have a wait.We sat in a booth in the bar and it took awhile to get a server to come over to us and despite having a 4.5 year old child, had to ask them for a kids menu. I ordered the balsamic chicken which used to be one of my favourites and my husband got wings. My son choose a grilled chicken breast which at $8.50 is a bit pricier than other kids meals for chain restaurants in Waterloo. As it said it came with vegetables, we asked to substitute this out for kettle chips. After we ordered, the waitress came back and said that the grilled chicken doesn't come with a side and we'd have to pay for the kettle chips ($3.50). I pointed it out it says it comes with vegetables to which she replied, oh, that's apparently just carrots and celery. Really, for that price, not a side option here? What a rip off. We decided to pay the extra because a piece of chicken and a few raw veggies seem kinda light weight for a dinner. So, we're in for a kids meal that is now $12. Crazy!From there, things got worse. Service/meal was slow despite the slow restaurant. My balsamic chicken came with two small chicken breasts as expected. The first one was okay, but when I cut the second one it looked under cooked...pink. I cut into a few more areas and yes, they sent out a piece of chicken not cooked. They offered to make me a new one, so I accepted, but then had to wait for a whole second meal to be made. I would have rather they just offered to take the meal off the bill...by the time the second version came out we were ready to leave. I ate a few bites and decided to take the rest home.My son was not thrilled with the grilled chicken. It had some pretty strong char marks across the outside like it had actually maybe been left on a couple minutes too long (the irony, one chicken over cooked and the other not actually cooked!). The kettle chips were average at best and a disappointment for the price. They didn't even bring out the carrots/celery with his meal either, despite us PAYING for the kettle chips since we couldn't sub out the vegetables for something else. I expected them to be on the plate. My husband seemed to have the best luck, the wings were fine. So, I guess if you get something deep fried it's harder to screw up.The price of the meal was higher than many other places we go to and the quality was way, way lower. I won't be heading back."
