"Firstly I'm from Leicester and I have worked at 2 of the top 5 restaurants in the late 80s. We walked in and the first thing we were told was we close at 2.30. man with stubble) From the start we were felt rushed. Then on asking if they do hot drinks I was told no but I'll come back to that later. He bought a straw for my granddaughter, after dropping the straw he still gave the same straw. This leads me to believe, if dry food was dropped it would still be served. I'm a reviewer and I do review good or bad. We had a different person taking our order older chap with less hair. He was more helpful and did not rush us. Food ranged average to below average. Prawns were very tasty. When we finish the first person bought my granddaughter chocolates. I paid at the counter to the third person. Just before I left I saw a coffee machine. I asked him if they did coffee and he replied with a yes. Originally I was scoring a 1. The person who took our order improved the score. If they don't want customers in the last hour they should close the door."

"Went with my wife for lunch, it seems the place has changed hands recently. the food is tasteless, bland and sickly! only a second rate ice cream for dessert. We have been customers for years, but wont be going back. Best avoided!"

"Poor Service, bland food and only reasonably priced if you have a tastecard so it is half price. Manager is very friendly and professional. Food took ages to arrive. Starter was very bland and went for most expensive one. Mains we went for Pizza but it was over cooked so not enjoyable. Dessert was ok but seemed to be half the size of a dessert at other restaurants. Drinks are a rip off! £4.75 or 4.95 for Coke and £6.95 for a pint of beer! You literally have to wave to get the attention of the waiters. Overall was not impressed and there was only about half a dozen tables dining."

"Unfortunately there was not enough staff to cover the amount of customers, therefore queueing 10 to 15 minutes to get a drink, food also 35 minutes late, the staff that were there did very well. Gents toilet was flooded all night, nobody attempted to clean it, but,we made the best of it entertained by the Soul Man who was brilliant as always."

"Great eating and beautiful location. if you want to see the lunch special menu online, do this from a pc not their phone or tablet, because the clowns that have built the website did not test on mobile devices. edit: does not work on the pc. click on lunchtime specials' just goes through a la carte menu. shows not only the lunch specials selection. 2. machining. 15. juli, my £15 lunchtime special' costs £22.50! complains after getting the bill just to say that there is an email address on the website where complaining should be sent. no apologies for her mistake."

"Great situation and atmosphere can be made by love to detail. while eating (drilled cheese/chorizo starter, quiche main course, main course) was generally disappointing from a high standard overall. the grilled cheese was not even melted. the quiche main course was a mere part, which was more like a starter. the back door of the house was opened even though it was in the middle of oktober and therefore it was a very cold table that we had to bear for lunch. like many similar foods it was chronically underoccupied, so even the payment took an eternality. even expensive, though thewellington has a lot of potential, this was unresolved by an overwhelming total offer."
