"Took clients for dinner who just moved to White Rock. The Labni which was made in house was very good and the crab cakes were some of the best ever had. The Seafood Stew Hot Pot was just okay, needed some vegetables in the broth to make it feel like a meal. I had the Arugula salad which was also just okay- uneventful. I did not like the chicken that I had on the salad. It was over cooked and torn up slightly and put back together to look like a breast so it was not very pleasing to look at. Can't remember what our clients had but they seemed happy. The service was fine except that our waitress was not very diplomatic. Young and needs more training. We asked for tequila shooters and she mentioned the brands they had. We chose one and she said "okay you want the cheap one." The ladies chose Goldshlagel and she brought it to the table cold which is correct but did not shake the bottle so we had no gold flakes. She said that this is the way they always pour it but she could take it back and shake the bottle first for us. Remember customer comes first, we are paying for a dining experience, make it memorable so we come back and we tell others to come back. Food was good, prices were somewhat high but it is on the water. It is not fine dining but I still think worthy of a try. Hopefully they do some staff training not just on their drinks but on their food and how things are made and where their ingredients come from, so when we ask they have confidence in their answers."

"The restaurant took our reservation early in the day and we felt fortunate to have a spot on their small deck in the summer. Upon arrival they had secured our table and we were seated instantly. The waiter knew the menu well and had a cute chalkboard to show us the specials. Water was provided and frequently topped. Wine was poured for us from the small decanters rather than just a large glass of wine. Linen tablecloths and napkins. The chairs were comfy but perhaps a bit too low from the table which meant we both had to sit upright rather than relax. Candles were provided later in the evening. The deck has some lovely ivy and flowers which helped to divide us from the busy sidewalk. This time of year the beach traffic is loud and busy but we were still able to enjoy each others conversations. We were given a cute giraffe chocolate when we paid our bill. The washroom was clean and in decent condition.I had the bavette steak $24 and my friend had the angel hair pasta with seafood $29. Both of us enjoyed our meals. The wines were acceptably priced. The service was professional, prompt and appropriately matched to the prices of the menu. I will recommend this restaurant to others."

"I’ve ordered delivery pizza from Bucky’s many times, whenever we are 2-8 or so hungry for pizza people. They’re specials are superb. Not the least expensive pizza available but quality taste counts. I order pay in advance a couple hours ahead at the store. I always include a tip for the overall value; Delivery of the hot pizza is always timely. Nice people, I appreciate them in our neighbourhood!"

"If my boyfriend and I want great food that never disappoints we make the teck from Maple Ridge to Charlie's it's hands down our favorite place to eat and the fact that they have gluten free options is even better as I have celiac and finding places that have a clear menu for gluten free and is safe and understanding and doesn't judge me for something I can't control. Safe to say Charlie's is my happy place. Ohhh and the view isn't half bad either Go see for yourself"

"Service was great very friendly and welcoming. We ordered the fish and chips. There was a small hair in the tartar sauce but the fish was good and crispy. Fries were overly salted. We also ordered the fish tacos, the fish was fresh but the tortilla was cold. Sat outside on the patio which was really warm but the plastic covering the outside was dirty and hard to see the ocean. Overall 3/5"
