"This place was GREAT! The restaurant is cute and nicely decorated, and you can tell that it’s a hotspot in the area. The food was amazing. We ordered chicken gyros with Greek salad, and it was such a fresh and tasty meal! Really reasonable prices too. The chicken was seasoned and cooked perfectly, the veggies were all crisp and fresh, and the tzatziki and pita were delicious. So authentic, so fresh...we left feeling like we had a great, balanced, and delicious meal."

"They brought us some homemade pita: very good. We then went with the saganaki (greek cheese flambe): it was good but a little too salty. Then comes the greek salad: in term of appearance, it looked good and fresh, with very nice colors. But it was overdressed and the dressing tasted funny. There was definitely some ouzo in it but I found the taste definitely weird. Then the best: I decided to try the greek feast: a combination of lamb gyro, dolmades (grape leaves stuffed with ground beef, rice and herbs, with a lemon sauce on it), pastitso (baked pasta, ground beef, cheese and bechamel sauce), spanakopita (spinach and feta in a phyllo) and moussaka. "Relaxed, welcome, simple atmosphere by coming home to family. Sat at the bar for a quick dinner while on a work trip. Looked for something healthy and enjoyed the lentil soup. The Horitaki Village salad was delightfully generous in portion and quite healthy, wonderful fresh vegetables. Unfortunately could not resist dipping the warm bread into the herbs and oil. : And the Greek yogurt dessert was unique. Would love to come back"

"George's is consistently the best Greek food in the greater Long Beach area. The service is always pleasant, the food is well-prepared, and while the wine list is very basic, it compliments the food. The noise level inside can tend toward the ear drum shattering, and it is nearly always quite cold inside, so we tend to prefer the patio that is nicely heated as necessary. Overall a favorite."
