"Hillman is a good brewery but they have bad music. Check it out if you want good food and beer but be prepared to listen to your dads classic rock station on blast. It feels like I’m in a jeep gladiator every time I’m here. I feel like they non ironically like nickelback."

"I get their chicken salad sandwich at least once a week but would go out of my way to visit when they are serving shrimp po boy. Soups are always excellent as well. Great staff and service. There is a reason its my go to lunch spot when I am downtown."

"I gave up almost food 8 years ago because I did not want to support the industrialized food system. that does not mean that I still don't sneak a delicious cheeseburger and weep every moment. with foothills I can support the local food system, get a great burger and pommes (I love the online ordering option for a fast pickup,) the best cuban sandwich rueben in asheville (her pastrami is swoon worthy,) home made hot dogs and more. I also love her meat CSA program that I pick up in black mountain. have I mentioned the maishunde? get one, oh, and there's also poutine. get her almost food nostalgie with local meat in foothills!"

"Great local deli! My partner and I tried here today because we were off and could make it in time! The subs came out fresh and yummy. We ordered a cookie, but they were not to enthused about the batch and gave it to us for free and a side of potato salad (they over heard us talking about it). Service was very nice and attentive. Do wish their hours were extended or open on Saturday as well. Overall though a super yummy lunch. I got the Italian and my partner made her own sub!"

"The service was simply clumsy and not well informed. Bar service slowly bc the barkeepers are so concentrated on the “art” it takes too long to actually get a simple cocktail. and the restaurant describes some dishes that should have heat (hamachi with serranos, spicy pork tan tan) and not only no seasoned, they are under seasoned. but overall was good, especially the gyoza and ripen."
