"First I'm original from outisde of NYC. I grew up within the Italian and Jewish community. My love for bagels is true. I have them sent to me from an online Queens NY BAGEL place or my sister who works in Manhattan goes to a famous place there and sends them to me that day. I chatted with someone this week who recommended this place once they found out I was from NY. I live in Great Bridge Chesapeake so going to this place was like crossing the state. I picked up a dozen bagels and got a sample of the pastrami. The bagels by far are the best in this area and the pastrami was slap your mama excellent. I would have went back in and got a pound of pastrami but the line got long that quick and I work in Norfolk so I really went out of my way to try these bagels and this place. Highly recommend it. I Brooklyn Bagels!"

"Your chicken and steak Philly are very good. I use to love their salads as they had a great house dressing, but they quit making it, now their salads are the same boring salads that all restaurants have. Overall, their food and service is good! They would get 5 stars if they just had a few of these amazing dressings that made me come back and forth. This is an update! They reacted and delivered. The House Salat Dressing is the bomb! Love this place! They take care of the customers! Very happy! Thank you very much and we'll see you soon."

"The only reason I give 4 's is because you can 't improve on a 5. Everything can be improved but it 's hard to be critical of Tad 's Deli. The limited indoor seating was not an issue on a Wednesday afternoon in December. Had it been busy, we would have happily taken our meal out. The staff was cheerful and efficient, following up on our needs and the quality of our meals. Three of our party of four chose the box lunch which includes a sandwich, side (chips, macaroni salad, or potato salad), a bottled drink, and a cookie. The fourth chose to have a cup of soup as a side, forgoing the chips and cookie. The sandwiches were generously filled and the bread was soft and fresh. Meats had been sliced thin and complemented with the right amount of condiments. These are not your chain store sandwiches with an excess of bread and sauce. The soup (chicken with rice) was delicious and properly seasoned. The cookies were home made ; obviously prepared in house. You should definitely leave the beach and visit Tad 's for an excellent meal. Meals: Roast beef french dip topped with provolone, vinegar and salt chips, water, and a red velvet cookie Cubano, sliced ham and pork with provolone pickle and mustard, sirrachra chips, black cherry soda, and red velvet cookie. Ham and Swiss cheese with macaroni salad, cream soda and red velvet cookie Tuna salad on sour dough, chicken and rice soup, and cream soda."

"It’s a Bar with Cafe in the name. After seeing all of the high ratings on Google and Yelp, a friend and I ventured over to Kempsville to check it out. The high ratings might have been posted by intoxicated guests. I think, maybe. It’s pretty much a dive bar atmosphere with regulars already on their second or third drink by noon. They were going outside outside frequently to smoke. Some lighting up before walking out. Everyone was very friendly from the owner to the bartender/server and the customers. They seem to really enjoy each other and have a lot of fun. There were photos of annual Salt Water Charter Boat fishing trips with the whole crew. For people who are looking for a hang out, this could be it. Just not for my friend and me.(non-drinkers). The server, who was taking care of everyone was very sweet, she asked our names and remembered them! She was also cleaning when she wasn’t taking care of the customers. The establishment looks old inside but was very clean. Food wise: The lumpia was very good. And the appetizer serving size was substantial. The server said it was “frozen, boxed stuff.” After my review, the owner responded and said the lumpia is from Gloria’s bakery. Gloria’s bakery is a local Filipino Bakery with house made lumpia. Unfortunately, We were not impressed with the rest of the food. $40 w tea and coke. Just couldn’t eat it. My Reuben tasted like it was made with cheap packaged corned beef and imitation Swiss slices. The cheese cooled and became like plastic. The bread was not buttered and grilled or toasted and the bottom of the sandwich was wet and soggy. My friend said the blue cheese on her burger was strong and overpowered the other flavors, and this is a women who loves blue cheese. Her onion rings, fresh from a package and fried, were too hard to eat. My sandwich came with a side salad which I asked to be placed in a takeout container since the sandwich and salad were too much food for me after already munching on the lumpia. I tried to eat the salad later but the diced tomatoes tasted spoiled. I picked them off and ate the greens."

"This place has New York style sandwiches, some of the best Reubens I've ever had. I always have to split one with the wife just because it's so much to eat. I can't even finish it by myself.
