"We were very excited to try this place, but the whole food was bland and was nothing near Street Food flavors. Even a simple dish like a tikki chaat was totally blanching and watery. It's sad because it looks like a nice clean place. They really need to work to improve their flavors. Cook change, or maybe they have torn off everything to ensure Gorae clientele. Even her tea was warm. I hope they will improve in the future."

"I went to Bombay on the lake 8 years ago for the first time when I was at Humber college for lunch. It was delicious. I randomly decided a couple weeks ago that I felt like Indian food during the lockdown. I googled and couldn't find anywhere. I remembered Bombay on the lake- although not super close to my house, my boyfriend and I drove down. We usually get chicken tikka, butter chicken, garlic naan and rice and on occasion samosas and last week we tried the spring rolls. We have nothing but great things to say about the food, the service and cleanliness of Bombay on the lake. We have made it an every other week tradition on saturday to get indian food from them. I would recommend this place every time. I have never had it deliveried- but its worth it to go say hi to the amazing and friendly staff who make and serve the food. Best indian food!!"

"I've never been to Mumbai. So I cannot vouch for any authenticity in the food served at Colaba Junction, a new addition to the College/Bay area. And I didn't like the loud Bollywood music they were playing. But the food was certainly very interesting and tasty. My friend and I shared the Aloo Tikki, nice and spicy potato and chickpea dish, and the White Butter Chicken curry bowl, which came with rice (but not with the advertised salsa, unless three pieces of raw onion is a salsa.) The chicken was perfectly cooked, no gristle, and the sauce had a nice cashew taste.Food service was slow, and the serving dishes were a little flimsy (because it's street food, get it?) but the place had no annoying televisions and the staff were friendly enough. About $10 per person for a good lunch. Not bad for the area. They had many more interesting dishes I'd like to try if I manage a second visit."

"Let’s get the alcohol out of the way first. I like my spicy Indian food with a cold beer. Regrettably most purely vegetarian restaurants do not serve alcohol a somewhat moralistic, judgemental approach IMHO. That said, I’ve found salted lassi to be an acceptable...substitute, especially if one is in turn willing to compromise on the no alcohol rule for solid, down-to earth veg Indian food. And this restaurant does not fail in delivering the goods. Excellent dosas and house thaali that will have you satisfied (and passing gas for a long time. Service was not too bad, but one of of our group’s appetizer (which happened to be her main meal) came way before our appetizer dosas (excellent BTW). And our main meals came way before we were finished with our dosas, despite having explicitly told our waiters to not bring our mains until after we had finished our dosas. First world problems these"

"The above title tells it all. We had dahi puri and pani puri. Both were excellent. The waiter was very polite and the pricing most appropriate. Highly recommended."
