"I first came here way before TripAdvisor existed. Food wasn't very good or authentic (I am from the part of SE Asia where the cuisine comes from) under the then-operators. For example, the satay was in such big chunks (excellent if it was a meat kebab) but wasn't marinated enough or cooked through enough as it should have been.Fast forward a decade and a half (maybe even 2), and we came after commemorating a sombre family anniversary. Ordered a few dishes to share.The HaiNan chicken rice isn't how it is prepared or served in SE Asia, but more like how it is served in HaiNan (had it 3+ times last year on HaiNan island). Expect a moist if somewhat oily chicken (claimed to be free range): Authentic for HaiNan with the accompaniment of a green onion-oil dip and sweet chili sauce. No heavy Indonesian soy sauce (the favored brand is owned by Campbell Soup these days). Rice is cooked in broth but cooked a little too long and with too much water as it is fluffy (I like mine more al dente). Soup is o.k. but a bit ... weak.Satay is decent but not marinated enough or with enough spicing. The Satay peanut sauce is o.k. but a bit insipid.The fried tofu is also o.k though not great (have had better) and has the same satay sauce as the satay.Overall o.k. but nothing outstanding."

"It has been a long time since I visited Pho Viet Restaurant. I used to visit their previous location so somehow, got really disappointed with their #1 Pho soup. It no longer taste the same nor does it smell the same. Also, the meat given were lesser than before. I raved about this restaurant when I was in Vietnam last year, still thinking that they had the best Pho soup I've tasted. However, it is not anymore and I am quite disappointed. It used to be when you enter their restaurant, you can smell the Pho Soup and once the bowl was served to you, you could inhale the aromatic fragrance of it and start slurping the broth while it was still piping hot.I went there twice this year and the second time, I didn't order the soup anymore, just the fresh salad roll combo with the grilled pork and fried spring roll. The grilled pork had the taste of chicken which I didn't like. I think they used the same baster brush for the chicken. The peanut sauce tasted good and the fried spring roll was ok."

"Tin Tin is one of the few Chinese Restaurants that open at 9:00 AM for dim sum. The parking lot is adequate but not large. If one pays their bill by 11:30 AM there is a 20% discount. The seafood congee contains an abundance of...seafood. I would not recommend the har gow as we found it somewhat bland."

"Better than a lot of other Chinese restaurants. I often go to this place for dim sum whenever I go to Richmond. Both food and service are great and even better than most of other restaurants. It has never disappointed me so far."

"R&H Chinese Food is a food stall located in the Lansdowne Centre food court. Normally, you wouldn’t think that you could find good xiao long bao in a food court unless you’re talking about Xu’s Wonton House aka Shanghai Dim Sum House in Crystal Mall). I ordered the Combo A with Steamed Juicy Buns and Rice Noodle Soup $9.89). The combo really wasn’t worth it because the rice vermicelli was lacking in quantity and flavour… it was basically a small bowl of hot, clear soup with a few puffs, springs of green and less vermicelli than you’d find in a side order of sunomono. As for the XLB, the juicy filling was encased in a fairly thin wrapper. More importantly, there weren’t any broken dumplings which is a pet peeve of mine when ordering XLB at some restaurants). Overall, I’d come back for the XLB but that’s probably it."
