"Nice selection of beer. My fish and chips were lovely, the fish was large and batter crispy and the chips were delicious. Nice mushy peas as well, but could have done with some nice tartare sauce to go with it. The wife’s roast dinner seemed nice, though a bit mean with the amount of gravy offered (though she did get more when asked. My youngest kids meal was very good (chicken and chips) which she enjoyed and good value with ice cream for afters. The only real disappointment was my eldests meal. Being vegetarian the choice was a bit limited but she liked the crispy vegetable pancakes. It turned up as one large pancake which resembled something like a slightly burnt omelette and not what we were expecting and looked poor especially for nearly £16 it looked quite unappealing. She didn’t complain but if I’d been served it I would have sent it back. The only negative in a generally good experience. Dog friendly which is a bonus. The pudding were nice, but again a bit mean with the custard!"

"Loved staying here, a beautiful pub, I always drink in here the Timothy Taylor's Landlord bitter is the best pint you'll get anywhere, the hospitality of the staff and management was superb and one of the cleanest rooms I've ever stayed in. I'll definitely be coming again when I've got a free weekend plus if there's any free rooms. Thank you. Hunty x"

"The best carvery I know. Everything cooked like it should be, red hot too the meat is cooked to perfection. I have meat free the staff always ask if I would like meat free gravey. The csnt do enough to help. We love this place, kids do too. Cans bottles of wine available too. Highly recommend it!!"

"A real community centre with loads going on lots of activities for older people and families. Classes of all sorts; yoga, tai chi, languages and more.There are also some quite quirky regular events such as the Shipley Alternative fairs and the Front Room Disco. The cafe is really good (and cheap) and, although run on a shoestring, the centre is keeping up a rolling programme of refurbishment, which has made the space more usable and welcoming."

"Stayed over and didn't want to travel to eat so decided to give the hotel restaurant a try. It was nicely set out with comfy booths and leather chairs/ sofas. Relaxed atmosphere. It was a little tired in places too. My husband ordered a burger and I had steak and ale pie. He said his burger and chips were amazing. Mine was ok for hotel food nothing to rave about. It was expensive for what it was,but you expect that as it's s captive audience. Drinks were also expensive,cheapest bottle of wine was £20! our whole bill came to £40 for a pint,large glass of wine."
