"We have really enjoyed our dinner and will return definitiw. three of us had the house taxi, which was very good (and was nicely expensive.) appetizer, huh and pasta dishes very good. my gnocchi with spinach and butter crimson sauce was delicious! waterglasses from various workers during our meal refilled to timely wise. our server was friendly, but forgetting, our companions could have been the second glasses of wein they ordered, and overall could have been a little more attentive. maybe a little inexperienced? but very pleasant. fun!"

"Wait a minute. *Gleeful GASP*, are those real Italians running around in there? Sure looks like it to me. These guys kicked out Little Ceasars (THANK YOU! A complete spontaneous choices landed us some really good, authentic (OK, I've been to Italy once nosh. Calzones were great! Pleasant service. Not a fancy spot, smallish, but I really enjoyed the flavor. The guy next to me, who looked like he has seen a pie or three, went to the register and told them it was the best pizza he ever had.Garlic bread and knots were true art.I will see next time.. and look forward to exploring the pastas."

"Two. Once in La Locanda and I loved it both times. Welcome how you walk in the door. I ate both times at the bar and Angel is beautiful. I ordered the pappardelle bolognese both times and both times as big. The beet salad is wonderful and the muscles, good, best I ever had. I highly recommend this place. My favorite trip when I visit the Scottsdale/Phoenix area."

"So disappointing. The restaurant is now under new management, and they have stripped all of the fabulous kitsch decoration, and character out of the place that made it fabulous and taken some of the best items off the menu. It's not a bad place, but now totally devoid of character and charm, that it used to ooze of."

"The owner/manager was super accommodating in a last minute booking for a large group. Service overall was ok, our server was really sweet and friendly (and even engaged in chatting with one of the toddlers in our group).<br>

We had the endless feast for $35: starting with salad (average), fried polenta chips (love how crispy it was, sadly it was bland and could have done with some salt) and fried chicken (a couple of the pieces were uncooked and completely raw), followed by pizza (loved their different range of pizzas), pasta (carbonara and spaghetti were the best) and then the platter of meat (kind of meh, the pizza and pasta tasted better).<br>

Overall, the food was pretty average. You definitely load up on carbs while waiting for the meat platter (we waited just over an hour before the meat course came out) only to be disappointed when it came out. Pizza and pasta were the best courses.<br>
