"The day we visited for dinner they were short staffed so we were waiting quite a while for our food,had the roast beef dinner which I enjoyed the kids had a penne pasta dish which unfortunately they didn't enjoy but enjoyed the chicken gougons that we reordered for them,the staff that were on duty were very friendly and apologetic for the delays. Have heard good reports about the food from friends so will not let this experience put us off will definitely try Gertie's food again."

"There was a starter that was the star of the show garlic sausage and egg. There was of us and that was the star dish, the rest were good but not amazing. We all had different dishes and tried each others. Getting the attention of staff wasn't the easiest but they were attentive when you got their attention. Liked the decor esp the burned wood"
