"What a wonderful experience. Our waiter and staff was very welcoming and kind. The food came out quick and hot. The grilled eggplant appetizer followed by the chicken piccata were delicious. Al Castillo was there for us by being open on a Monday night for dinner. Thank you to a long time Italian restaurant in San Jose."

"This is the place if you ever wanna impress someone on the first date. The taste of their food is like no other Italian restaurant I’ve ever been to. It’s a really cute place put together in the old Victorian landscape. Definitely my favorite in the San Jose. They have a fabulous red wines also."

"Tomatina has been a go-to since it opened, for dine-in or take-out. The seasonal specials, which we enjoyed recently, are creative and tasty. We shared a really good starter of cauliflower, broccoli and corn with pine nuts, served warm. I had the butternut squash ravioli and my partner had one of his favorites, the sausage pizza with mushrooms. The entrees were generous servings with enough to take home for lunch the next day, all washed down with the house red wine, a real value special at $3 a glass. We saved room for shared cheesecake with caramel sauce, a winner after dinner! Our server Eli was the best, making it a special evening for us!"
