"Are here on our 3 week tour of Italy . Food was good, nice location on the canal , service was attentive. We found the prices very reasonable in comparison to some of the restaurants we have visited . House wine and Prosecco good quality and excellent value for money"

"A friendly welcome beside this lovely wide pavement canal. The front of house team spoke good English and it’s a spacious, well lit, clean restaurant. We enjoyed a delicious bolognaise and a lasagne, insalata mista (a healthy crispy salad of leaves, tomatoes etc) and you can order wine by the glass, their Prosecco was lovely. The waiters have a great sense of humour and the restaurant had tourists from Austria, USA, Italians and us Brits. We finished off with a customary tipple of limoncello. Great value and would return."

"Food was good, prices ok, but payment and service, not so much. If you sport a card sticker on your door, maybe you should accept that card, no? And when this is pointed out, maybe not take wild offence and act rude and tell customers to take it up with the boss, and that i take it away when i please . Also, go home ; customer not always right , etc. All this in front of the whole restaurant. To be exact, this from the male waiter, whose ego much outdod his ability."

"We were very hungry for lunch in Venice and opted for a small restaurant that catered to tourists as most restaurants in Venice do was surprised at the friendly service and warm ambience . The Zuppa di verdue , (vegetable soup packed a lot of flavor and was surprisingly very good. One lunch companion loved her Spaghetti with the black cuttlefish , and the grilled salmon was also very nice . I liked escalope Milanese style which had a very good sauce and super tender . Nice wine selections made for a very nice lunch . Never rushed and had a very nice leisurely lunch ."

"A refreshing discovery was Da Silvio, strolling through the calle near my hotel I found the little restaurant which has a nice garden terrace in thee patio, perfect on summer evenenings, I can imagine. The prices are reasonable, way cheaper than in the normal tourist restaurants and the food is freshly made, the service nice and welcoming and the restaurant is not so stereotyped like others. I've dined there two times and was really satisfied. Like everything in typical Italian tourist cities it is still a little bit over prized but still very okay for Venice! Plus: free wifi"
