"Known locally for breakfast, brunch and light lunch, we were in the first group to experience dinner at the Kava Haus. The dinner was advance reservation only and the menu was very limited for the first dinner. From entering the door the servers were most welcoming and attentive. Initially the background music was a bit loud but was later turned down. Dinner was prepared by Chef Jen formerly with the Genreal Denver. In a nutshell, the food from salad to desert was the best I have had over the last couple years in Wilmington. I have experienced long waits and poor service and second rate food in area restaurants but after this dinner at the Kava Haus there is a new top restaurant in Wilmington. I can 't wait for a full dinner menu. And it 's locally owned."

"Excellent locally made chocolates. A bit expensive, but I suppose no mite so than any other food. (And I consider chocolate an essential layer in the Great Food Pyramid, as the early Egyptians would have). The stores in Lake Placid and Wilmington are staffed by appropriately sweet people."
