"We chose this restaurant based on the tripadvisor reviews. For the most part, our experience lived up to them. We shared a goat's cheese salad which was incredibly good - the cheese was warm on the outside and soft on the inside, paired perfectly with a simply salad of lettuce, tomato and balsamic dressing. My husband had the 1/2 chicken which was also great - I tried some and it was moist and flavoursome.The reason I couldn't give the restaurant five stars was my main. I had the tagliatelle with pesto. Bad choice. The pasta felt dry and the pesto was so salty that I couldn't eat much at all. I barely ate 1/4 of the dish and was going to explain to the waitress what the problem was, but she wasn't interested in why I hadn't eaten much of it. She whisked it all away at the end of the meal without asking how it all was. I was a little upset by this and walked away disappointed as it was our last night in Nice. At least I was able to have some delicious gelato (elsewhere) for dessert.Overall, apart from my meal the food was good. The service was superficially pleasant but I didn't feel any attempt to connect with us."

The restaurant is very small but it’s great to be close to the kitchen by considering Mr. Stanc and his team work their magic. all around a great experience. recommends abstention! "We got this place recomended from some of our friends that often travel to Nice. So as I see that many famous chefs from Denmark are traveling to Nice and visiting this place. Maybe it's just gotten too famous, I don't know...We went there and from seated till we had finished our second dish had gone 36 minutes. Our food was not warm, when we noted it to the waiter, he said that it's not supposed to be warmer... We were a bit shocked, but didn't insist more, just finished and left. Without dessert. Unfortunately few hours later I got sick and suffered from severe food poisoning for the rest of the following day. And the food was not even good (if we look beside the fact that I got sick). And way overpriced if compared to the old town or even the main walking street..."

"Don Carlo is a pizzeria near avenue Jean-Médecin. They offer a midday formula on Saturday. The place is very busy, but you can also sit on the terrace. You can have a meal with drink and cafe for 16 euros and the same plus desert for 20 euros. The food is pretty tasty and the price is reasonable. Today, they had benchquette de veau, which is a veal and duck bavette, which is a beef bottle steak."
