"We came to dinner with a group of 4. eating was quite nice, but some dishes can be quite sharp. there was a waitress that was so rude and grumpy, which was a shame, because we really enjoyed eating and otherwise had given a high rating."

"A Sichuan Chinese restaurant, this branch of China Chilli is a proper sit down restaurant with a full menu (unlike the limited food court version over at Hawkers Lane in the Westfield). However I actually never got to see what's on the menu, as they have embraced the ipad ordering technology, where you browse & select your own order on the ipad, but the problem was they only have 1 ipad for the table between 4 of us, and no printed menu, it was hard for us all to see & select at the same time, so my friend ended up just ordered for the table (there was also a lot of confusion with their App when my friend wanted to deselect something, we had to get the floor manager to help, but she then got confused with what my friend wanted to order...). Anyway after all the confusion, the food itself is not bad, but not as good as Red Chilli Sichuan opposite the Chase. The flavours are there, but not too heavy, the sizzling beef in cumin sauce did have a bit of a kick, but...

"One of my favourite spots in Chatswood to grab noodles, Dan Dan and snacks. The family run business is loud, efficient and sometimes hilarious (the dad's noodle making is a sight to behold). Apart from the hand made noodle dishes, definitely try the snacks (about 3-4 in a medium container) - hot, salty and spicy. Make sure you also grab vinegar and chilli with your dish - yum. If you ask for it HOT, be prepared for it to be HOT HOT (don't say I didn't warn you :)). Love this place ... total urban eats legends.

"Food is tasty and one of the more authentic restaurants I have been to. Belacan fried rice was very delicious just right amount of heat, belacan, and charred smokey taste. Tofu dish was also good not too salty. Wat tan hor was authentic with good amount of ingredients unlike some places I have been to which served noodles, some pieces of carrots and call it a day. They only accept cash tho."

"Cheap, crispy and juicy chicken. Hot star is perfect for a fried chicken craving, the chicken itself is quite tender and juicy and steaming hot as well as it is made to order. The spicy version is actually pretty spicy and i'd definitely recommend getting a drink to combat the spice unless you handle spiciness very well. I've had the same person take my order every time i went and he is friendly everytime"

"Cozy restaurant and great local village for chicken and beer with a few friends. Definitely not the best chicken around (all your chicken is frozen), but still pretty decent. I would actually say that it was the best roasted chicken in the chatwood area. Good opportunities are the spicy chicken and the wings, and the DAK Galti is fine."

"Great coffee. strange bacon and egg wrap with avocado, rocket and spicy tomata relish, they left the soft egg on the plate. with my unwrapping skills I opened the pack and put the egg with a fork. very strange, the chef has forgotten or this is a trendier way to platte. a suggestion is sound-absorbed the caffe. hard smooth surfaces, i.e. walls, floor and deck. Maybe soft wall hangs on asorb sound or blankets."
