"Friendly service, alot of staff about on Fri night we got served quickly. The food was OK. I had a dosa crispy kale. The dosa was nice but the potato filling was a bit tasteless. The crispy kale just seemed too sweet, more like a dessert. I didn't like my drink (masala soda) but maybe it is just me. Overall I am glad I got to try interesting foods so no complaints, just wasn't 5* for me."

"First of all the food and service were very good indeed BUT when we first were shown to our table the first thing we were asked was 'Would you like some pappadoms? ' As a serial indian restaurant goer this is always the first great entre to indian food in the uk and a prelim for what 's to come. At this stage I hadn 't looked at the menu and it was only when reviewing the bill at the end I realised they charged £1.50 per pappadom and the dips were also charged for making the pre-starter nearly as expensive as the starters. We never go mad with our mains and usually choose a curry each, share a rice, share a plain naan and then maybe a side. Add to this three drinks between us and the bill came to over £100, then service was added at 10%. I know costs have risen but I did feel that at nearly £55 per head we are in the range of a slightly special night out not just a normal curry night that is so now part of our british culture. Don 't price your self too high is my message and next time look at the menu first is the message to me and future customers. I repeat though that the food though was good and it very well worth a visit!"

"The burger on special tonight needs to be on the main menu. Loved every bite! Reminds me of the burger that the yard house no longer serves. Pumpkin beer was yummy and atmosphere was relaxing. Good to know they validate parking too! We made a good choice for dinner tonight!"

"We are firm regulars here, each time we go we are never disappointed. The food gets better and better. The service is excellent, so friendly and always informative helping us choose different dishes each time. They even adapt dishes if you need them to. Curry is our favourite food and Royal Bengal has been our favourite Indian restaurant for some time now. We’re so lucky to have this in the village. We go as a couple, with other couples and sometimes with the whole extended family. Highly recommend."

"I've heard great things about this restaurant, unfortunately I had a bad experience with takeout. Pasta was not fully cooked, and next to no sauce and the salad was just some chopped up Roman lettuce. I'll definitely have to come in sometime, based off the photos it looks like the foods ussually awesome!"
