"We just chanced upon Dave's Lobster whilst strolling along the Boardwalk one evening during our last day in Halifax after our RV tour of the area and eventually decided what to try and ordered from the small but delightful sounding menu. All food is cooked to order so there was a small wait for THE most delicious lobster roll I have ever had. You even beat a famous restaurant in Provincetown that we visited a couple of years ago.Needless to say this is a very highly recommended booth.It closed at 6pm, I don't know if it is open longer hours in the height of the season (we were there in late September)."

"The gelato here is spectacular, you wont find better ice cream in this city. The coffee is also great, you really can't go wrong here. The only downside really is the desire to spend all my money here."

"On work break saw this place. Nice variety on the menu but the pizza tasted like it had been sitting for a while. The crust was dry and it was hard to bite into. I've had better at other places"

"The food was fantastic, the portion was quite huge and the whole place is gorgeous.Although it indicated in the menu that there might be cross contamination, I asked for gluten free and vegan (to avoid lactose) and they were so careful! Even brought the gluten free bun on a separate plate in case I was vegan and did not feel comfortable with eggs touching my food.Honestly one of the best experiences I have had i a really long time eating out with a few food intolerances.Could never say enough good things about it, it is just absolutely FANTASTIC!"

"Grilled cheese is one of my favorite comfort foods and having tasted so many throughout my travels, I consider myself a little bit of a aficionado. The Halifax Press ranks in my top 5 of all time. I ordered the Smoke on the Harbour and also tried the Little Italy. Nicely grilled, perfect amount of cheese (no big blobs or half-melted cheese) and quality sourdough bread. The cone shaped wrapper with the separate little pocket for the pickle to keep the juices away from the bread is also a nice touch. If I lived in Halifax, i would definitely be a regular customer.Bonus: Get the peanut butter sparkle cookies if they have them. I guarantee that it will be the best classic peanut butter cookie that you will ever have."

"My review is based on the customer service only, not the food. The food was great so no complaints there. I booked a private function for golf - two rooms a month in advance. When we arrived, we were not greeted, I had to go around and look for someone even though the place wasn't that busy. Once we got into the rooms, we then again had to track someone down to show us how to operate the simulators. We were not made aware there was a call button on the wall - until later in the evening. We learned afterward that this would let them know we wanted service for food and drinks. So, we continually had to go ask, or hunt staff down. What bothered me the most, the place was empty besides the rooms and the staff were gathered around talking on their phones. This really bothered me because they asked us at the beginning if it was our first time there in which I answered yes. You would have thought they would have taken 5 minutes to explain the call button and the simulators. At the end of the night, it was frustrating knowing I spend hundreds of dollars and left thinking the service was terrible."
