"First timmer, have heard a bit about this place so it was defiantly on my To Do Food List First impression was good. Friendly staff as we entered.. However...the lady that waited on us didnt seen to be interested in making our experience enjoyable. Felt like it was a rush job. The entree of Sashimi wasnt as good as what I had hoped for. For main I had rack of lamb, the duck roasted potatoes where soft and cold and the rocket salad was plain in taste. HOWEVER the rack of lamb was the best I have ever tasted. The desert was also amazing. The big NO No for me was the trip to the toilet. A bit of a walk and it wasnt clean. I understand that toilets have to be shared with others in the area but If I owned a nice restaurant i would make sure the toilets were good. I will go back to taste the steak."

"We stayed a week in Callander, and Crags was recommended by both the Inn we stayed in and the tour guide we used. However, we tried to go there for dinner twice during the week (both on weeknights) and even though they had tables, they turned us down, saying they were booked. The first time, they had reserved signs on the empty tables so we understood. The second time they had many empty tables and told us they could not serve us. This was really a disappointment, and we are not sure if they perhaps do not serve American’s there. This is a pub, we were dressed cleanly, and appropriately."

"On arriving to the restaurant the first thing you notice is the noise. Trying to talk over the table was a bit loud. The food was nothing special, my steak was dry (asked for medium ). I found it embarrassing going to the bar and giving $30.00 for 1/4 of a glass of sparkling and chardonnay and getting $4 dollars change, I personally find that over the top. I was asked by the waiter if I enjoyed my meal and well, after telling her she walked away in a huff."
