"Ate here with a group of ten in July 2014. The food was excellent, probably some of the best Italian food I have ever eaten, and the price was only about $10/plate. Everyone at the table said the food was amazing. The service was normal, nothing bad or exceptionally good, but the prices were very low. I will definitely eat here again when in Bucharest."

"We were very kindly welcomed.The waiter / Maitre d' was very kind and helped us to orientate our choices.My son chose the spaghetti Carbonara specialty : It was wonderful : the maitre d' ignited a good alcohol on a big parmeggian loaf and then mixed the spaghettis with the melting cheese : It was the best pastas I've ever eaten (I picked in my son's plate !!)"

"Went to this restaurant for a summer evening and I can say that it was very disapointing. staff didn't knoe what they have in the menu, waited for 2 pizzas for about 1 hour. Also the tea spoon for our coffee was dirty. I think they really need to change the managment as soon as possible if they want to survive.It's so sad, the location is very good, but the service is so bad. The restaurant needs a refresh !"

"Great food in a very traditional old school decor. You cannot miss the wall with pictures of Jesus and the saints, the old school television, the vinyl table cloths. The ladies cooking and serving the food are also old school and very friendly, always try to make his experience great."

"Lascar used to be one of the good restaurants we enjoyed every time we were in Bucharest. Not anymore. The menu may have been shortened to a third of what it used to be, and there is really nothing too attractive in it. Typical Romanian food, but too few choices. While the quality of food and service is appropriate, there is nothing special to justify coming here to eat in a city with so many other attractive culinary options."
