"Whenever my partner and I are in Alberta, we make it a point to eat at Harvey's and Mr. Sub because both, much to our chagrin, are on the decline in our home Province of BC (in fact, I think there are only a couple of Harvey's locations left). And, in our view, it's a total shame that places like Harvey's and Mr. Sub seem to be on the losing end to other big MNCs like McDonald's, Wendy's and Subway because, to be frank, the home-grown Canadian operations like Harvey's and Mr. Sub are far superior in more ways than one (see my review of a Mr. Sub in Calgary, for instance).With respect to Harvey's, they've been a firm and strong Canadian presence since 1959 and while there have been menu updates and modifications over the years, there are a couple of things that have remained the same and keep us coming back for more: the friendly, personable service; and, the amazing, freshly made charbroiled burgers. It's quality like this you just can't beat. MNCs like McDonald's and Subway may be on practically every street corner in every major (and not so major) town, but they lack a personal touch. And that's where Harvey's and Mr. Sub come in: not only do you get excellent service and fresh food but, in both instances, you can literally build your burger (and sub) with the employee -- giving you the agency to create something just as you want it. That, friends, is a beautiful thing!Oh, and I would be remiss if I failed to touch on Harvey's amazing fruit pies. They still do them in the classic way; that is, deep-fried goodness, so the pies have a crispier texture and, I think, an overall better taste than those places that simply bake their pies! Mmmm...good!"

"I visited this Harvey restaurant once awhile. Most of the time two junior burger with a coffee. I like many food items on my burger. First radish, union. cucumber, lots of tomatoes. Love them and enjoy."

"Looking for a place for lunch last week, I noticed that the parking lot for Mundare Sausage + Uncle Ed's Ukrainian Restaurant was full. I parked a block away and walked. Even at 1:00 PM, the wait for a table was about 15 minutes. I was not disappointed. The appearance and smells of the lunch plates being served reminded me of many visits to both eastern European countries - and - many Ukrainian and Polish restaurants in my native Chicago. If you, too, enjoy eastern European cuisine, Uncle Ed's is the place for you. Recommended."

"This was the worst experience I have every had in my life from a restaurant. I have been a vegan for over 7 years now and was extremely upset by the experience I had. I went the to order a Veggie burger like I have before but not at this location. When I got to my destination to eat it, I realized it was not a veggie burger but in fact a regular burger! I called customer service to see what I could do and to simply let them know of there mistake. Well, I was completely insulted by there manager, asking me what color my burger was like I was stupid. So I went there after work to confront him and it DID NOT go well. He was very rude and insulting, asking me what color the burger....well if a burger is cooked properly shouldn't they all brown. So he brought out there regular burger and a veggie burger telling me that the shape is what is different. When they brought it out the "veggie burger" was a dark brown and their regular burger was YELLOW.....IT WAS YELLOW. At the end of the conversation the manager was throwing the burger at me trying to get me to leave. Not very acceptable!"

"Eat was good, except it wasn't exactly what we ordered, she didn't let us end and when we tried to explain our order, she made it wrong anyway. she gave us our drinks and when we took them and it was root beer... instead of koks she told us that we caught someone else, although it was just us in the restaurant. not friendly to not a good service."

"Mixed feelings whenever I got to Harveys. Staff was very helpful. How ever food was not what I was expecting. Burgers we cold and did not taste fresh. Onion rings were good. Soda seemed flat, may be the fountain was out of flavor."

"That's a edmonton classic. I've been getting sandwiches here since my father brought her home when I was about 4 years old. they have not changed for more than 20 years! the nostalgic taste brings me back and I always go out of the way to look over. I love how to recharge it also freshly renovated! hands down best sandwich in the city."
