"Had the occasion of being at CAREMOUNT, a complex of medical buildings. When I had one hour between appointments and being quite hungry at noon, I asked people who worked at the center if there as anywhere to eat,, one person said, Market Cafe. Two of us went there and noticed the place was nearly empty. I would say 4 people in a large space. Then I looked at the menu posted above the serving area and I couldn 't believe the prices. I looked at my watch and realized I had 20 minutes to my next medical test so I knew I had no choice but to eat here. I paid $4 for a cup of lentil soup that needed salt and seasoning. Couldn 't believe the price. Usually at a diner, the max is 2.95. And somehow these cups were small styrofoam vessels that accommodated very little soup. My eating companion ordered a veggie sandwich on a roll for $8 plus tax. Wow. Couldn 't believe what we paid for a soup and a sandwich after tax. I don 't understand why this medical complex doesn 't provide it 's own reasonably priced eating establishment where people don 't feel ripped off. The Mayo clinic does it as well as some NY hospitals. When I returned to the medical area I asked the clerk who told me about Market Cafe if he had ever been there. He said, no, I can 't afford it . No more Market Cafe for me. Ever."
