"I have gone to Umami Burger dozens of time. There were dishes on the menu that I couldn't wait to eat. There was an alcoholic drink on the menu that had become my favorite. So, imagine my surprise and disappointment to find that they had completely revamped their menu and that my favorites were no longer on the menu. When I asked for the drink, I was informed that the bartender didn't know how to make it. How could such a popular drink that had been on the menu for years be something that the bartender now didn't know how to make? I truly wish that Umami Burger would bring back the items deleted on the current menu. Otherwise, it may be time to find an alternative restaurant."

"Overpriced and overrated. Portions are large, but food is not very good. I’ve been a few times in groups and once on my own. OJ is $6 for a very small glass and it’s not fresh. Their “millionaires bacon” is $12 for two strips. Pancakes are below average in taste. Coffee was not good. Eggs have been served cold twice. Not bad, just not not good. 3/5."

"This is my new favorite burger joint. I've lived in the neighborhood for years and I have passed it many times. But a friend of mine who lives in the neighborhood suggested I try it and when I did, well it became my favorite. The burger is done perfectly as I ordered medium rare, pink and juicy on the inside and char on the outside. Sitting outdoors when the weather is fine makes for a wonderful day. I would recommend visiting this place."

"The first time you tried this place, loved him! You can see that they cook the meat on the spot for you then just on your plate, it cannot be fresher than that! I have the Chicken Lamb Sherwarma over rice plate, they give you a large part of rice they could add more meat, but the taste is from this planet! so even if not much meat, the taste makes it! You have a lot of space to sit, but during lunch it will be from what I could say when I left. If you go to ask for two or three of the white red sauces, you're not enough. I have to go back to this place next time in Oakland try the other dishes on their menu. Recommend this place to all!"

"I placed an order online today for pick-up and my food was ready in twenty minutes: two orders of Hainan Chicken rice and one order of garlic noodles. The garlic noodles were a bit overcooked, but the flavor was really good and the dish didn't taste too oily. I did bite into one piece of garlic that was over fried and it almost broke my tooth, so eat cautiously. The Hainan chicken was tender but the skin was not as tight and firm as it could've been. The sauce that comes with the chicken is spot-on though. For about $40, it's about what you'd expect to pay for this kind of meal."

"Local butcher restaurant. we have not tried the metzger so that I cannot judge this aspekt of the company, but we ate there. in short, the pommes were really good and the meat excellent! the cheesesteak was a pleasure, a cheating and a gooey with a very tasty mix of meats wobble and srooms in the inner. the burger was delicious and juicy. the staff was nice to us and helpful during the order."
