"We went there because of the good reviews online. However, it was definitely overpriced for its quality. We wondered if it were boiled meat rather than bbq. I wasn't gonna say anything but I kept getting these emails from the restaurant to give a review on tripadvisor. so here it is."

"Mambo Lounge in Danforth avenue and Broadview is excellent. We ordered tostones con carne, wich are medium ripe fried plantains holding shredded meat for starter with Estrella beer., than a delicious plate of ropa vieja or shredded meat, with congri, a Cuban rice with black...beans and tiny fried yuca, plus salad and an authentic Cuban sandwich. Dessert was creme brulle and a charming conversation with chef Andres and his wife. They have a Cuban party the last Saturday of every month with live music and dancers with food for only $30. I recommend this place."

"I ate at Taste of Yunnan for the first time today with a close friend who also used to live in Yunnan province in southwestern China. I am so thrilled that we finally ate here, and I will be dreaming about returning - it was a fabulous meal. After returning to Canada from years living in China, I have performed an exhaustive search for the most authentic offerings of my favourite Chinese specialty dishes. Included in my roamings are Chinese restaurants from across the country including Victoria, Vancouver, Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa and Kingston - and I have never feasted on more delicious and authentic tasting food than I did today at Taste of Yunnan. We had Across the Bridge rice noodles, a specialty rice noodle dish where all of the ingredients are cooked in your bowl of soup right at the table. The base is a bone broth with a very special blend of herbs and spices - I have no idea of the combination, but it is delicious. Then a raw quail egg, several varieties of thinly sliced and raw meats, mushrooms, tripe, deep fried pork gristle, greens and Chinese pickles are dropped into the boiling soup to cook. After waiting a minute or two, the rice noodles are then added and the result is one delicious meal.We had a fried noodle dish that I had never tried, but would enjoy eating again, even now as I write this! Some Yunnan dumplings (pork and chives) and shaomai. In the end, we decided to try some Chinese pancakes, we tried the corn and the sourdough varieties. We basically rolled out the door at the end of our meal.My friend is fluent in Mandarin as well as the local dialect Kunming-hua and charmed the staff and laoban, so we also were able to have some conversation about Kunming, what we had been doing there, and how delicious and authentic the food was. At the end of our meal, we were surprised with a beautiful mango tapioca for dessert, it was beautiful and so very tasty. If you are looking for inexpensive and authentic Chinese food, or more specifically southwestern Chinese specialties, you should go straight to Taste of Yunnan for your next meal. For someone craving the flavours of Kunming, or another wanting to try something new, this place is not to be missed. I am not sure when they first opened their doors, but I am certain that once they are found out by local foodies and visitors, there will be a queue out the door. I will be back as soon as possible."

"The TLDR version is that this place was angling for a 4-star review at 8:30 PM and was down to a 3-star, maybe a 2.5-star if that was an option, by the time"

"We love the original Fresh Burger in Richmond Hill and decided to visit their downtown location. Initial impression was fine - the place seemed like it needed a refresh but they have booths whereas the Richmond Hill location only has tables and chairs. Unfortunately, there seemed to be a rocking problem with the seat cushion in our booth so we switched to another. The table in the second booth needed wiping as there were remnants of fries left from an earlier patron. We got a serviette to wipe off the food from the table, and after doing so, the serviette was extremely dirty - like black! Yikes! The burgers are truly great but staff should be paying particular attention to ensuring that the eating area is well maintained and clean. We will continue to go to the Richmond Hill location, but will probably think twice about this Toronto location."

"The Jalapeno and Honey is heaven, you must experience this beautiful marriage of a massive pile of jalapenos with honey doused on a piece of fried chicken like its going out of style."

"All day breakfast, lunch and dinner place. Got a table quickly. Outdoor patio is large with small wooden seats and tables. Be careful with the chairs as they are not meant to sit for a long time. Breakfast was reasonably priced. I got the Veggie Express for $14.95, which was two-three eggs, hashbrowns with onions, grilled tomatoes and toast. Hashbrowns are a different type, not crispy...salad was iceberg lettuce with salad dressing. My overeasy eggs were on the runny side, whites were undercooked. Choices of toast: rye, white or brown. My food mate had the larger can 't talk eating special for $18.95 which had two pieces of french toast on the side of a express breakfast. French toast was the best part, not too much egg...spiced well and not too sweet. Has the option of adding syrup. This special is the best deal for breakfast! Overall nice place for a relaxing breakfast, limited waiting for a table, and reasonably priced. If your looking for no wait, reasonable priced, and standard breakfast, this is the place for you. Service was nice, they always had a person filling water cups, but I think they ran out of water cups when the patio was full."
