"Just had some take away from Sitar and I was blown away with the quality. The curries were really tasty, I was truly impressed! We had kingprawn mughal, chicken dansak, kingprawn tandoori and sag aloo. The naans were great as well. We will order again when we are next in Bethesda!"

"I 'm a lover of hot curries..and I mean really,really hot curries: A Vindaloo is mild to my palate,so I thought I 'd go one step up and order a Chicken Phall from City Spice. I 'm glad to say it didn 't disappoint. The Chicken was perfectly cooked;fibrous,generous,great texture and not at all like that rubbery,watery injected stuff. (as is customary in so many Indian restaurants these days).The sauce was to die for and had the perfect pureed consistency...cooked and roasted to perfection...Thank you Chef,you have a great palate.. The meal had the taste of a true 'BIR ' (British Indian Restaurant) in the same way I remember it from the 80 's, when we used to stagger home drunk and stop at the nearest Indian restaurant on the way home. The portions are very generous too.Don 't hesitate to order from City Spice. I find that the true benchmark for any Indian restaurant/takeaway is how well they cook their hot curries...If the really hot curries are good the rest of the menu will be outstanding. I 'll definitely be a regular customer here!"

"Have dined here several times in the past but not in the last five years. Took some friends as it was always a decent curry. Unfortunately it must have changed hands. Chicken Pakoras was over cooked and tough. Followed by a Nawabi Khana which was very bland and lacking any kind of heat. Also four bones in the dish so diners beware. Our guests had similar issues with overcooked chicken and bland flavours. Also found bones in food. The garlic naan was the highlight of the evening brilliant. Needs to improve quickly if they are going to remain open. Suggest the staff visit a curry house in Bradford just for comparison."

"If curry and the use of spices is part of your staple diet, or if you would like something a little bit special, this restaurant offers a very unique style which is fulfilling and exquisitely satisfying. The blend of spices and the use of fresh ingredients and spices is well worth experiencing, the kitchen is producing healthy food, with care. If like me you eat curry on a regular basis, you will not be disappointed, indeed you will be pleasantly surprised by the chef’s originality, unspoilt, natural and very wholesome. The take out is nicely packaged with tin foil cartons. Preferred method of payment is cash. There is a coop opposite the railway station with cashpoint and drinks etc. Vegetarian options: Many dishes to sample. Please leave your feedback. ."
