"Managed to go there last night with a couple of friends after Deutschkurs at LFG, after some time that I wanted to try it.The place is kind of traditional German stube/restaurant, but it can maybe even pass as traditional/minimal, however cosy enough to feel the comfort given by lights and furniture.The menù includes different things, plus interesting variations which I hadn't still happened to find anywhere else (i.e. the Bieramisù, which unfortunately I didn't try this time).We had a couple of pils and a glas of (red) Spatburgunder. The beer was ok and served in nice glasses. The wine was also quite good, despite my bias over German reds.To eat we had two Brauhaus Burgers (ok) and a kind of Schweinacksteak, very good indeed.Service was nice, attentive and also available to accept our (usual) variations.I think I'll be there again and try some other specialties..."

"Zum Odenwälder gehen wir meistens Sonntag Mittag ........ zur Sicherheit bestellen wir immer einen Tisch und egal wann wir kommen ...11.30-13.00 Uhr ........... es ist stets gut besucht ......... das Essen ist gutbürgerllich, deftig und reichlich........ die Bedienungen finde ich nett und aufmerksam .......... zu den Räumlichkeiten würde ich sagen klein und sauber ........ mit der Dekoration könnten sie sich ein bisschen mehr Mühe geben ....... die ist von Jahr zu Jahr tupfengleich ......... es hängt auch immer ziemlich lang ........ das eine Jahr dachte ich schon das die Weihnachtsdeko noch zu Ostern hängen würde ........ so eben nicht ......... jetzt zum eigentlichen ..... dem Essen ... egal was wir bis dort gegessen haben ....... Rumpsteak ........ Saure Nierchen....... Spieß......... Wurstsalat ......... alles ist lecker und auf den Punkt zubereitet ...... zu 90% bleib ich an dem Rumpsteak hängen ......... "Best Rumpsteak in Town" ....... sagt alles ....... Leberknödelsuppe ist ein "Muss" für meine Männer ........ ab und zu haben sie Leberknödelsuppe in anderen Restaurants probiert ....... machen sie inzwischen nicht mehr, denn keine schmeckt auch nur annähernd wie die vom Odenwälder........ wem es besonders gut geschmeckt hat kann auch verschiedene Sachen mit Heim nehmen ....... alles aus eigener Herstellung ......... wir haben auch schon beobachtet das sich Leute das Essen telefonisch bestellen und dann selbst abholen .......je nach Jahreszeit gibt es die verschiedensten Veranstaltungen (siehe Homepage) ........ wir waren schon beim Oktoberfest .....sehr nett gemacht ....... alles blau\weiß dekoriert und besonderes Essensangebot ....... natürlich Haxe....... innen saftig, außen knusprig ........ Perfekt! ...... es gibt auch immer ein günstiges Tagesessen........ den Odenwälder kenn ich persönlich schon seit 35Jahren und ich hoffe das es ihn noch weiter 35 Jahre geben wird, damit nicht nur unsere Kinder, Neffen, Nichten dort einkehren ..... vielleicht auch noch unsere Enkel, Großneffe,Großnichte......"

"The place is very bright and friendly after renovation. The service is very good. You rarely find such a good service. The food is very tasty and of size exactly right. Unfortunately, at my dinner the late zests were a bit dry that turkey carving was very good."

"Waren gestern nach einer Veranstaltung in der SAP-Arena mit 3 Paaren das erste Mal in dem Lokal. Hatten reserviert und das war auch gut so, denn das Lokal war sehr gut besucht. Ein sehr ansprechendes Ambiente mit freundlichem Chef. Der Rest des Personals war wohl in Ermangelung von deutschen Sprachkenntnissen etwas zurückhaltend. Sehr guter "Insalata Italiana" und eine sehr gute Pizza. Ansonsten wurde Pasta gegessen und ein gemischter Fisch-Grillteller. Auch das fand sehr guten Anklang. Allerdings sollte man hier bei großem Hunger auf eine Vorspeise nicht verzichten. Was ich nicht so gut finde ist, dass es lediglich Pils als alleinige Biersorte vom Fass gibt. Auch die Auswahl an offenen Weinen ist begrenzt. Fazit: Wir werden wieder hingehen ..."

"I was out for a run and passed this place not realizing it was a restaurant. I came back later to check it out, simply because it was very close to my hotel and l was in the mood for Greek food. Went there with a college, neither of us speak much German or any Greek - the two languages spoken by the owner. Like many places in Germany, they had an English menu, but I'm fairly certain the staff couldn't read it and it looked quite outdated. We chose some items from the menu based off knowledge of eating in Greek restaurants in the past. The owner, who was cooking, came out and say with us. Using hand and arm signals, he discarded what we thought we wanted and basically ordered for us. He definitely looked like the guy to trust in this situation so we went with his suggestions. Food was amazing! Such a fun experience attempting to communicate with the staff - great food, many laughs, and free shots of Ouzo after dinner.Odyseus is hidden among a bunch of storefronts on the street perpendicular to the Best Western Premiere, near the John Deere plant."
