"It's difficult to know what to expect as the stairs introduce you to the quite unimaginable interior of this restaurant. An overwhelming air of fried food lined our nostrils and the general impression was of a basic, no-compromise facility. However the food is quite different... Matter tasty, generous and superbly cooked! The staff is friendly and welcoming but if our visit was all go at the Da Siro is popular with locals and it might pay to book especially on a Friday or Saturday night. Our choices were well prepared and excellent in taste and the bill was very reasonable for what we had. There's only one downside, and that's the overpowering smell of Frey-up that stayed in our clothes for several days after our visit, despite the air. There didn't seem to be much ventilation to prevent the kitchen smells permeating throughout the restaurant."
