"Initial waitress unclear in explaining the menus. Too many times interrupted. When confirming the 20% reduction on menu for having theatre tickets by showing her the written offer on their website, brought a set menu stating this was the offer. I had to seek out the manager to challenge that the 20% reduction was on the a la carte menu. They agreed to honour. Was told that because the burger was frozen itd have to be cooked well done. It certainly was. Almost could not chew"

"We originally booked the secret beach, but due to the earlier rain this section was closed so we changed into the garden area. it was quiet as it was an early pre-theater visit, but still pleasant. we have already visited before and will not visit a doubt in the future. highly recommended."

"During a recent tour of London, our party of six (five 55+ adults and one 12YO male) decided to stop here for lunch. Since it was quite chilly that day (40 F and windy), we were wearing coats, sweaters, and nice jeans. Upon entering, the maitre d ' manager (I assume) made a comment to the effect of “Well, you certainly seem to have dressed warm today”. Maybe it was an attempt at humor, but it wasn’t exactly a friendly greeting. Seeing that the restaurant only had a party of five and a party of two seated, we asked if a table was available. Maitre d ' manager’s response was “Do you have a reservation?” Obviously not, or we would have said that when we entered. He said he’d see what was available, walked away, came back a few minutes later and asked a waitress to seat us at a table that was already set for six. The food (sweet and sour chicken, sweet and sour pork, chicken noodles, Szechuan beef, egg fried rice, white rice) was absolutely delicious. The wait staff was attentive, polite and gave us time to savor our meal. Meanwhile, the maitre d ' manager never once checked on us. He did, however, take the time to seat, take the order of and personally serve two young ladies seated directly across from our table who ordered Afternoon Tea. I also observed that at no time during our meal did the restaurant have more than a dozen patrons, including our party, and many were dressed in the same manner that we were. I’ve read this is supposed to be one of London’s best Asian restaurants. That’s certainly true from a food perspective. Unfortunately, some the staff’s attitude distracts from that."
