"Have been here several years ago and was not that impressed. Only came today as our first option had a roadshow and the second was closed. Menu is pretty standard. We had Signature Vegetable Fritters with optional eggs and Smoked Ham Hash. Fritters were standard zucchini and corn, just two of them about egg ring size with tasty sauce and about 8 bite size pieces of roast pumpkin. All for $18 plus extra $4.50 for the eggs. First time in ages I have thought meal, although tasty, was way too small for the price. The smoked ham mash was tasty and different, but at $22 expensive, although it was a decent size bowl full. Had a pretty ordinary $7.50 square of carrot cake for dessert (just put on a plate). Would not bother to come back as there are better options for the price in the area."

"I have eaten online for a big group birthday evening for I came early to set up the cake. the rest of the group was a few minutes behind me. then I was told to hurry and order, as the kitchen in and restaurant closed in an hour. this was not mentioned in booming or on the confirmation email. I had to quickly find another restaurant with more modern opening times. fortunately we found another place in elizabeth arcade, where by the way, eating was better. new shanghai is a dining room with employees who are good to ignore them."
