"Eating was decent, not expensive, but. on her website it says that she discounts a 10% discount with a VCU-ID...guests what? I didn't come with a big group from my college. when we asked about the check and we asked about the discount, said the server I'm sorry that we don't really have the control over our website? we were a party over 6 and had to pay a Gratity tip. the mixed drinks were expensive, but the food prices were very fair. it has a cool atmosphere in it. it was clean and not shady looking. when they try to bring a date or hang with a friend, they do not go too late because I think it turns into a nightclub-unless they are in that only complained that they do not give the discount as advertised. "Having been to a few Thai restaurants in Richmond, Sabai is my favorite so far! Everything I've tried has been delicious. Good portions and low prices (except for appetizers, which have entrée prices). My go-tos are the drunken noodles (pad kee mao) and basil fried rice (kao pad ki maew). The sauces that come with the appetizers are also pretty exceptional (we mentioned this to the waitress and she gave us free extras to take home :D). I appreciate that they're open later than other Thai places. The only con I'd say is service can be slow sometimes. The restaurant itself is dimly lit by candles and has an industrial vibe, with garage door walls and all the furniture looks custom-built from raw wood and steel. The music selection they've got is pretty nice as well. I find myself coming back to this place whenever I'm in town."
