"We just happened to meet a woman on the train who lived in Mandurah who surprised us with amazing hospitality by offering to drive us from the train through her town. We would never have seen half of what we did if it were not for her kindness and generosity. She showed us the canals where people park their boats in the water outside their homes like most people park their cars in driveways in North America. I loved that part of Mandurah. Thank you for that! So impressed with her kindness. Then, she took us back over the bridge to the boardwalk area and dropped us off where we found a place to try some pineapple fritters. It was getting dark so we wanted to walk along the water and munch on something. They took forever to give it to us, so we missed most of the sunset. However, we could still see the colourfully lit ferris wheel reflecting in the water across from us. If we had been there much earlier in the day, it would have been fun to try that little amusement park. The water and the reflection of lights made it romantic enough for my husband to ask me to dance to our own music at the gazebo. Very fun memory. Then, it was time to catch the last bus back to the train station. Overall, this become one of the best memories of our stay in Australia."

"The very definition of mediocre. Great location and absolutely dull food. Poor value and just tasted totally average. Not cheap either and much worse than my local fish and chips. Can't recommend anything here."

"Probably! I took my family for a meal on the 8th June. Really impressed with the hospitality shown by an Asian gent behind the counter, when I told him I had these guests from Singapore he gave all of us (5 adults) a small complimentary bowl of seafood chowder! Brilliant! The rest of the meal was faultless, the half cray mornay with grilled fish and prawns and chips and salad for $29 odd was great value for money and it was cooked well. The magnificent aquarium inside the premises kept the 3 year old with us memorized for ages. Can't wait to go back soon.Keep up the good work guys.☺"
