"We were staying at Le Cep across the street and our wine tour guide had suggested this restaurant run by a husband and wife team. We lucked out getting in as we didn't have a reservation. The wife is the chef who cooks these amazingly well crafted seasoned dishes that are presented so beautifully. The husband runs the front of the house and he and their son are the servers. The husband suggested a wonderful pinot noir to match up with our dishes. We sat in the back courtyard that was covered and it was a very peaceful and relaxing ambiance with an excellent playlist. The whole experience was very enjoyable with wonderful plates and service."

"We had 90 minutes to go before our 2:30 tour of the Fallot mustard factory a block or so away, so we thought hey, let's try this cute little joint that looks packed with locals. That's exactly what it was packed with French speaking working class...locals enjoying a very inexpensive prix fixe menu. Mom and Pop place: host Loic and his chef wife Christel are members of the Le Payen family which has owned and operated this place since 1980. The congenial, outgoing Loic (pronounced low EEK) welcomed us like we were locals and the whole place felt relaxed and real. The food is respectable and the value is extraordinary. For 13.50 Euros, we got FOUR courses: (1) excellent very fresh salad with lardons, egg and a delicious Dijon mustard dressing, (2) main course of either stuffed cabbage or chicken thigh, both very decent and served with rice, (3) cheese plate with *five* cheeses, and (4) an ice cream bar in our choice of flavors. The wine list is short but packed with great values. We had the 9 Euro pinot noir first and it was perfectly lovely gentle and innocuous but with good flavor. Then we moved up to the 15 Euro pinot and there was a corresponding jump in quality. The wines come not in bottles but in cute little glass pitchers that hold half a bottle, and the glasses are nice and small, perfect for lunch. We had been eating in touristy restaurants for over a week, so to find an unpretentious little family owned joint like this was truly a breath of fresh air."

"Het was reeds laat op de avond toen we binnenvielen in dit restaurant, voor 3/4 waren de tafels volzet.De eigenaar gaf ons een mooi tafeltje , doordat het een caveau (kelder) is was er nogal veel lawaai. De rosé crémant de Bourgogne smaakte fris en voortreffelijk. Het voorgerecht, een jambon presillé was stevig en met een vinaigrette en een beetje sla smaakte hij voortreffelijk . De pizza in het 3-gangen menu was mini !! maar groot genoeg en was zeker en vast vers, want er volgde nog een 4-tal stukken kaas die echt à point waren, dit alles overgoten we met een Corey de Beaune, lekkere pinot noir. Voor het menu betaalden we 20€ per persoon.Au team de Caveau Saint-Jacques, Merci pour l'acceuil et à la prochaîne."

In addition to a correct meal, if you want to attend a happening worthy of Cauchemar in the kitchen regarding the management of the reception, the service and the room, you will enjoy! Flying servers, barely friendly to execrable, which managed to surprise more than one table during our passage and make us leave before dessert."

"Sur les conseils de notre hôtel nous y sommes allés et on a pris le grand jeu 10 plats se sont succédés beaucoup de poissons et crustacés de la viande du fromage tout en déclinaison et des desserts excellents sur la terrasse bien au frais et le service a été super.
