"This restaurant was recommended to us by different locals. Very glad we tried it. Authentic Italian cuisine. Wood oven pizza is outstanding. Teen tested and approved!! Marsala and Pasta dishes were excellent, as well as salads. Very good selection of beer, wine and cocktails....Large shaded outdoor garden dining was perfect during the July heat since indoor spots can become quite stuffy. Located on the outside edge of Penzberg just off the river in district Untermaxkron. Go early as parking lot fills up fast and overflows to adjacent streets. Always busy, but worth the wait for a table!"

"I visited the Avtar a week ago. Inside it was not uncomfortable, but there are more beautiful Indian restaurants. The chosen starter plate for 2 people was a bit sweet-hearted.Here I don't find the price-performance ratio right.The main dish, the chicken nilgiri was not bad. I felt that the rice served as a supplement was too little.The staff could be more attentive.Everything in all I had eaten better Indian."
