"I love your location.i have,on several occasions questioned your position on short pouring. Your attitude seems to be ,if you don't like it...too bad. We have been regular patrons every Saturday for months but are growing tired of the I don't care attitude. You need to realize that you are not the only pub I the valley. The last several Saturdays have seen a reduction in customers. Maybe time for you to listen to your customers."

"Wow, when this place first opened we were like this good eats. No problem paying 20$ for a top notch artisan pizza. As time went on the toppings began to yield in the opposite direction. After a few months the toppings had hit the middle of the pizza, basically paying for crust and bread. I mean come on. I cant tell you how many people I know stopped buying your pies. Talk about taking advantage. You need to check out Cuckoo in Coombs or Riso in Lantzville to see how its done right."

"I ordered a few things to be delivered to my Grandma in Courtenay and I can't express how grateful I am to the team at Hot Chocolates. Everything was wonderful I ordered a sour dough bread, pecan bars, and a box of sea salt caramels (my grandma loves caramel) and she loved everything she received. Thank you Hot Chocolates for adding some warmth into her life."

"Cloves isn't a restaurant in the usual sense, but a deli with a few tables. We had a great lunch of metzes. It reminded us of our holidays in Greece. Authentic foods - sanokopita, tsatsiki, dolmades .... a good selection of pastas and spices for those who want to cook at home. The host was very friendly and full of advice about home-cooking."

"Wonderful. The ladies who run this lovely cafe are so friendly and very caring. The food is all extremely fresh, simple and delicious. No issue at all in making a lovely vegan salad for me and the focaccia was crazy good. The perfect place to enjoy lunch after 2 hours of kayaking on the estuary."

"This is the cheapest and fastest pizza in town and well worth the few bucks. Daily specials make the price even cheaper. They also have "ready to go" pizzas so there's very little wait time. I doubt I can make a pizza as good or as cheap as they can. No sit in - only take-out."

"We ordered in three large Pizzas. With tax and tip it was 90 plus dollars. A bit pricey but very good. Islander Pizza is always excellent. Fresh ingredients and lots of them. We have tried them all, but ordering in Islander is hard to beat."
