"Surprised at how many chains there are in this small town, but was glad to have a dominos here. Really helped while we didn't have our kitchen unpacked in out move out here. The pizza was as good as any other dominos, but the delivery driver could of been friendlier."

"We thought we couldn't go wrong with Chester fried chicken. Ok, the chicken was good and that was all. The location is attached to a dirty convenience store. At 11:40 a.m. they were completely out of burgers. The oven wasn't warmed up to make pizzas yet. And the coleslaw was almost ready. You are better off going across the boarder to International Falls."

"I enjoyed my Seafood fettuccine but hubby thought his Cajun fettuccine was leftover, semi-warm and just a lump. Desserts were good and "new waitress" was excellent, bringing us fresh coffee and very attentive generally."

"Went to the Bistro 48 for dinner. The service was very good. I had ordered one of the flatbread pizzas. The presentation was nice and the duck sausage tasted very good but the whole thing was not hot and was very soggy. Couldn’t even pick up a piece without it flopping over. I will try the place again but do not recommend the flatbreads!"

"Visited with my husband and a friend friend had wings and loved them, hubby had a philly steak kind of sandwhich which he enjoyed. I ordered a queen size Prime rib steak Yorkshire pudding with garden salad as the side...the steak and the salad were brought on individual dishes with the explanation that the cook wanted to keep the salad cold and the steak hot unfortunately the steak was little better than room temperature so guessing they had to wait for the Yorkshire pudding to cook....as it was hot, although not sure if it was actually hot or if it was just the gravy that it was filled with. The salad was done with a spring mix of lettuce which was very bitter, the house dressing was the same brown color of the gravy au jus served with the steak but wasn 't much better than a very strong vinagrette. I ended up not eating more than a bite or 2 of the salad, and less than 1/4 of the steak when asked what was wrong, the waitress apologized and gave me a 50% off discount as she wasn 't able to arbitrarily take it off the bill. So, we may try again but I definitely won 't refer people there not unless I have a better experience."

"Took about 45 minutes to get a table of 4 served with no one else in the restaurant. Seems take-out business is bustling which may be contributing to the wait. Food is just not that good. Ordered a panzerotti, it was under cooked (raw dough). The sausage it contained was not sausage. It was more like hot dog. Not a good combo. Others had chicken dinner. Frozen fries, chicken looked like it had been nuked. Overall, not very appetizing. If I had to drive through South River again (which is unlikely since the by-pass was built) I would probably pass on this place."
