"On busy evenings it gets very loud in this restaurant. I went there twice with a group (I was invited). The first time, they told us, that we should either all eat pizza or all chose something from the kitchen otherwise the order would...get too complicated. They did not tell this when my friend got the reservation. The food is ok but nothing more. The second time (other group) they got very angry because my colleague made a reservation for 13 people but only 12 came. In my opinion this was not very professional. Even more as they had already prepared a table with very little space, so even 12 was too cramped."

"Parisa, our server, recommended a wein we enjoyed, and good vegetarian options for our dinner. everything was delicious. it's a bit expensive, but not different from where we are from. I hope we will come back when we visit Fribourg."

"After a flight into Zurich early morning and a long drive through heavy traffic all the way to Fribourg (took us about 2 hours), we were hungry and decided to have a quick lunch before taking a tour of the old town. We entered Le Boccalino restaurant, a Swiss/Italian place were we had mostly pizza, pasta and salads. All were fresh and very good and the service was very friendly - but the place is rather expensive for what we got."

"Dip into this inconceivable caffe for a quick lunch and pleasantly surprised by the quality of eating and service. the burger was juicy and tasty, and the poched egg with spinat was a perfect mix of sharp and veggie quality. Happy that we crashed on our visit to friburg about this beautiful decor."

"Das Restaurant liegt etwas versteckt, aber direkt am Fluss Sarine am Fuss der Altstadt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Bei schönen Wetter kann man auf der Terrasse direkt über dem Fluss mit Blick auf die Altstadt eine feine Fondue (Hausmischung!) oder Fleisch auf dem heissen Stein geniessen."

"Very good menu options for all tastes, including a good range of wine. Friendly staff and superb view from the city if you sit in terrace. If you go driving, you should park the car at Alpes Parking and walk for 2 minutes."
