"Now , let me give a disclaimer before I review. These are NOT authentic NYC bagels. If you've spent anytime there, like I have, you will recognize they aren't baked (boiled) the same way .... But this is no way diminishes how excellent they were. Just setting the stage to adjust expectations. Hands down this was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. The bagel, which had somewhat of a texture that crossed between freshly baked crusty bread and a croissant texture. Incredibly fresh and egg, cheese and sausage were quality and I'd not taste like they came out of a microwave. The staff were very friendly and as quick as they could be given how busy they were for a Saturday mid morning. I was 4 people deep to order to may want to call ahead. We were just traveling through and will definitely make note for next time as it is worth going this way to stop again and investigate further the cute little town of franklin. A short walk up the block and you can enjoy your bagel or cookies or muffin and coffee or one of their other plentiful choices at a bench in the beautifully manicured flower garden on the corner. Off street parking but it's plentiful so no worries. We have a big truck and fit just fine. Absolutely worth every carb! Enjoy!"

"Just really small critiques. Food was great had the bruschetta to share which was really good. I had the Venuti special pizza. Definitely no complaints. Base was crispy. Toppings were perfect. My companion had the spaghetti marinara. Sauce to pasta ratio was a bit off plus the spaghetti was slightly overcooked. But asked the chef for some bread to mop up the sauce so happy happy. Tiramisu was awesome. Affogato with frangelico for me... coffee was really doing it for me. . Can truly say one of he best Italian meals I've had in Christchurch. Keep up the good work guys"

"Have been to both city and Ferrymead Winnie Bagoes this Jan with family and friends. Colouring sheet menu and pencils were great for keeping kids occupied whilst waiting for pizza. Kid's meals good price one fed both my four and two year old. Also popular were the spider drinks and bought back memories of good ol' cob co to see traffic lights and pink panthers on menu. Definitely recommend traditional pizzas, we demolished the tricolore and funghi prociuttio at Ferrymead. Roast chicken and satay chicken were very average at city."
