"Do you know what? I love the Jolly Sailor! The minute you walk in, you feel welcome, and that's a nice feeling! The place is the oldest pub in Looe (so I have been reliably informed by the landlord) and its got a lot of atmosphere from the low wooden beams to the small windows. That being said what makes the atmosphere really is the staff and locals which are both very friendly and welcoming! If you are visiting Looe, even though it's not on the main tourist trail, it's most definitely worth a visit!"

"Wow, an excellent experience. We had the most amazing meal at Couch's last night. Very friendly, very interactive very timely, very happy service all night even after we had finished. Not usually a big lover of soup .. but wow the Amuse Bouche was brilliant, flavours hitting the taste buds with the soup, the butter and the sea salt brioche. My partner and I had Crab and Scallops for starters which were devine. A generous portion of Hake was fantastic with what can only be called a ring of flavour being an unbelievable Salsa Verde. The trio of desserts brought up the rear with no less pleasure. The chocolate bonbon being the star for me. A wonderful bottle of Pinot helped cement the pleasurable experience for us. Bravo Richard and his team at Couch's, well done for presenting us with the best meal we've ever had."
