"What fun to find! el sapo risto is located in playa langosta, only 25 minutes walk from the center of tamarindo (a lot faster if they don't have a four-year hering the restaurant has a very separate vegetarian menu with many quite unusual options. they were happy to veganize one of the veggie pizzas, but also have two completely separated and clearly labeled vegan pizzas on the menu. the staff was very friendly and happy to work! we chose the Vegetariana Pizzo without cheese, and the vegan sapo ortolana, which had a sauce of creamy brokkoli along with mushrooms, aubergine, garlic and cirschtomaten. in contrast to some restaurant attempts at vegan pizza they were both moist and tasty instead of dry, as it can sometimes happen if just remove the cheese. the broccoli sauce was a really delicious substitute for tomato paste! The veganized Vegetariana pizza was also delicious, with a really generous amount of tomato sauce. both pizzen had really wonderful bases, hand stretched and cooked in a oven. they tasted wonderful! the restaurant was also a good value, because our two pizzas were each $7 and easy enough to feed three people."
