"We came across this pub by chance when we were looking for something to eat. the pizza place next door (flash pizza) could offer a takeaway. we showed up in le pub and were impressed by the selection of beers, child-friendly atmosphere and sustainable staff. they allowed us to eat and all 17 of us had a delightful evening. worth a visit!"

"The Pacific Bar, a true Val d'Isère institution ! The true sports bar of the french alps. The original and best I've been to in any ski resort. Loads of screens and loads of atmosphere. Ask the helpful staff and they'll try to fit your...team's game on somewhere. All the live sport you want to watch while on holiday. Well kept and wide variety of beer, PROPER CIDER, lots of apres ski drinks promos, and proper pub food (pukka pies, sausage rolls, monster munch and toasties) It's not all about sport though; when the sport finishes, the DJ starts. A great New Year's Eve and free entry unlike most of town. Also a free weekly Salomon raffle to win new skis and boards. A great week's skiing and a great week on the lash !"

"As can be seen in the picture the menu states that his restaurant is not for people in a hurry, I think this was a typo and it should have said ‘not for people that are hungry’. I have been here a number of times...in the past and this visit proved to be worse than ever before. We entered the restaurant mins before the kitchen opened. We chose to wait as the weather was bad and we had already walked here. We enquired as to whether we could see a menu and put in our orders before the kitchen opened. We were told this was not possible. After the kitchen opened it was minutes before we were taken to our table, we then waited another minutes to have our order taken. Definitely not for people in a hurry! Once we ordered the food did come quick which was good but there were errors on the order but being English we chose to eat it and not say anything to the staff. We ordered a pizza with peppers and onions and it came with peppers and pepperoni, I could understand onions and pepperoni but how did onions disappear from the order to be replaced by pepperoni? We then had a desert where it was not clear whether a chocolate fondant came with any ice cream or normal cream. We asked the waiter who told us that it came on it’s own. We asked if we could have ice cream to which he said yes but for a charge, we decided to take it. The fondant arrived relatively quickly with both cream and ice cream and also our extra ice cream that we had ordered. Luckily they realized the mistake and did not charge us for the extra ice cream. Finally the price. Overall I would say this restaurant is medium/expensively priced. On receiving the bill I was concerned that I had taken class a drugs as we were charge euros for Coke’s."
