"We ate here twice for lunch on our trip. On the first occasion, we only chose it because it was after 14:00 and the places we tried first were no longer serving lunch—just past the end of summer season, I guess. Three of us ordered...salads that were fresh and tasty, and served in substantial portions. The fourth member of our group had roast chicken (half of a smallish bird) and chips, which was enjoyed. With some beers and a half litre of house rosé, the bill was very reasonable. Service was friendly and acceptably efficient. On the basis of that experience, we went back for a second lunch later in the week. This time the experience was less satisfactory. We ordered crudités as a starter, which was good: healthy portions with melon, beetroot, cucumber, lettuce carrots and tomatoes. We all had various pasta dishes for our main courses: ok, but there was not enough sauce, so the pasta got a bit clumpy. Service was much worse: a very grumpy and slow server. Copains has a nice location: right on the main drag down to the seafront. There's plenty of seating, inside and out. It seems that the kitchen serves food all day long when other places have closed or reverted to drinks only. All things considered, the place is reasonable value. I would go back, but not if there were somewhere else to try that was open."

"Absence of a magret in the Landes salad forced to ask otherwise no one would be worried. We're taking her to a plate that's probably warmed up in the microwave, it wasn't good...A pizza with 4 pieces of peppers and hum-hum cheese is worth 12€ ?. ul point positive good fast and efficient service and friendly waitress."

"Le Sabot is one of those French places that serve uncomplicated good food at reasonable prices. As we were in the area for family business rather than a leisure trip, we didn't waste time exploring different restaurants. We ate here twice: once for lunch and once for dinner. They have tables outside and inside. Inside dining definitely recommended even in early September.The menu offers a good range with salads, pizzas, meats and some pasta. Lunchtime salads are a good size with fresh and tasty ingredients. For dinner my brother and I ate starters followed by pizza. They were thin crust and more than acceptable. My diabolo could have been more devilish, but I just poured on more chili oil. My two elderly cousins had the salad pizza combo, which arrived on a very long and heavy plate with pizza at one end and a salad at the other—great value at €14.Including two bottles from a local chateau and some bully water, the bill was €116.Service was friendly, though we had visited several times for morning coffee as well."
