"Great bahn mi sandwiches. I got the vegetarian “pork” and it was very flavorful. If they can do this much to the tofu version, I’m sure the real meat is even better. Will stop there whenever I’m in the area again."

"Nice pho. The soup base is pretty good. Rice noodles are cooked just right."

"There are many Vietnamese restaurants around Ashburn and Leesburg, but most of them are either over priced and/or not that good. A bowl of soup shouldn't cost $15+. I think Pho Royal is a good value. The large pho bowls actually fill you up, and they cost around $10-12. My kids eat pho, and you can get a large plain one for around $7. The rice dishes are good, have generous portions, and are reasonable priced. The only thing I have been disappointed with have been the banh mi sandwiches. I thought they were a little skimpy on the meat for the $8 price tag. Overall, not the best Vietnamese food I've ever had, but I find myself coming back more often than not because it's better than most of the options around here."

"Visted to see what their laksa was like almost a year ago and now come here at least once every 2 weeks.
Lineup can take a while and tables can be very busy but it's worth the wait.
All dishes are very good value."

"Maxi is exactly what is needed! A small charming spot that specializes in doing one thing very well. It?s important to preserve and support HK and Cantonese culture. A world without HK/Cantonese food will be sad. The wontons are shrimp and pork . Maxi doesnot skimp on the shrimp at all! Most places skimp because shrimp is more costly. Some of the best wontons I ever had. Pro moveis to add a little vinegar and chilli sauce to the wontons. The broth is perfect and I confirmed with Maxi she does take thetime to use shrimp peels to bring out that seafood/umami flavor. No shortcuts here. I am pretty familiar with the Chinese foodscenes in SF and San Gabriel Valley (LA). Maxi?s is the best I ever had. The one contender would be the now gone Noodle Boy inRosemead (SGV). This is one of my favorite places. Very homey and very Hong Kong."

"I've been to Viet Sub a few times now and I've never been disappointed by the food. It is a hole in the wall with sitting for under six people. Family run, and has a cozy vibe to it.
Their price point, like most other Vietnamese places in the area is pretty reasonable. You can get a stomach full in under $10 with a Bahn Mi and a salad roll. I especially like their sriracha mayo sauce which you can pour over anything on the menu."
